This forest was different from what I was used to, that was one thing that was sure.

You adopted some more, too, if I remember right. I’m not sure if I remember meeting them…

Though, how does one change themselves?

We can stubbornly hide and, act different. But are we? We grow up, perhaps, yes. That changes some things.

Though, we have a base, an unchangeable one.

I met many deer, my trust in them rising. I met her.

She needed a handsome stag to cheer her friend up. Hey, I’m not one to turn such down, am I? We met up at the pond, the three of us.
I had no idea her friend was actually a guy. Haha.. That was akward when I found out.

We sat, chatted, flirted a bit. Even when I found out it was a guy, I thought it wouldn’t do much harm. Though, after some time, I figured I wasn’t really looking at him anymore.

I was looking at her.

We met up quite some times after that, chatting about all kinds of happenings. Especially our son and daughter connected us, since they both were around the same age.
I had so much fun chatting with you, we were quite alike.

I believe we hoped they’d become mates, so we’d become some sort of family. That would be quite fun, wouldn’t it? Never really worked out though, haha. Can’t expect to force such things.

We, though, had fun playing, flirting with eachother.

Some games, sometimes, get taken a little too far.
