What do I look like?....

Description:

A bright ginger coat with reddy-brown stripes on his legs and muzzle. His underbelly, undertail chest and nuzzle tip are a pale cream, while his eyes are a beautiful crystal blue. His legs fade from ginger to dark brown, then to black at the tip. He has a small scar through his right eyebrow, and others hidden in his coat all over the place.

Menelaus is very proud of his horns. Like a ram's, they are full of bumps with very sharp tips. They begin from between his ears and curl back until they stick out.

As for his body shape, Menelaus is a rather spindily and thin stag yet muscular. He is built for speed and accuracy, but can land hard blows if threatened. Overall his body is rather handsome and attractive.

What am I like?....

Personality:
Menelaus is an arrogant buck who will boldly hold his ground. He isn't an expert fighter and has been known to run away from big fights. This stag also has a big tongue and a habit of flirting, neither of which he is disgraced by. Menelaus is very proud, but easily offended or embarrased.

He is very playful and kind to most, enjoying his time with friends the most out of everything he's ever done. Fighting isn't his hobby, believe it or not. He will fight for his friends and if your a doe and a stag comes leaping around, he might throw his antlers around quite a bit, just to show off in most cases.

He becomes timid when rain and fog arrive, as this brings wolves which of course he fears greatly, more so then most deer it seems. So, if he gets into the scared position, it's usually because he hears howls.

As for his call, Menelaus's call is in game- the deer mask call. His voice is similar to Edward Elric off the English Full Metal Alchemist, but slightly hoarser and more sinister. Know the game Sacrifice by Shiny? Think Acheron but less rasp-y.

History:
Menelaus was born into a large herd, shared by many males. He never knew which one was his father, and was always Mummy's boy, scared to even playfight. For most of his fawnhood consisted of lying between his mother's front legs and being taunted by his half brothers. One day, his mother had had enough, kicked him in the face and walked off.

He was left with a small scar across his right eyebrow, which was quickly grown over but still remains faintly today. Without his mother to protect him, Menelaus was savaged by his half brothers brutally, as it was no longer a game. He was then left with not only a scar across his eyebrow, but small ones throughout his coat. In time, again, they healed over well.

Menelaus didn't get up after his bashing- he was too weak. He was left behind by the herd, but was far too young to fare for himself. His antlers were short, but growing. He was picked up by a foster father who was currently without a herd, and taken to the Forest. Unlike his mother, the stag was tough. Menelaus knew he'd never be sheltered from bullies by him, and likewise was toughened.

He became strong and powerful, ready to survive. And just as his foster father thought he was ready, the process was repeated- he was abandoned with a kick. Only this one was lighter, not harmful. With one look over his shoulder, Menelaus took off into the deeper parts of the forest, and accidentally landed in the pond. He quickly made a few friends and is making more every day.

And that's where we are now.

What do I look like?....

Description:

A black, grey and white coat full of thick fur. Black legs up front, grey at the back. She has a dark splash on her back with some red circles of blood. Harlequine's face has red circles around the eyes, and black lined and tipped ears, normal deer shape. Her antlers have been replaced by long peacock feathers sprouting from between her ears. Two twisted tines are her antlers.

Her body shape is thin and small, under average for a doe her age. She eats and drinks well but always seems to have an unfit figure, her ribs almost showing. Her coat isn't very thick and she shivers a lot when it snows.

Harlequine's call is like a high-pitched bird call, in the tune of a horse's whinny. In game it sounds different though. Her voice is beautiful, light and feminine, but hard to hear at times.

What am I like?....

Personality:

A young storyteller, Harly is hard to catch. She's always hiding in the grass or running from her reflection in the water. If you do happen to catch her, she'll try to defend herself even if you aren't attacking. Slowly backing away usually calms her down.

Once you have, Harlequine is a nice companion. Although, she flees if she finds anything scary, but if you are close enough to her she'll just hide behind you. Otherwise, she enjoys calm walks through the forest, and often recounts tales she's heard of. Harly is religious, and usually talks of the forest's gods.

History:
Harlequine was born with her mother and several half siblings in a close kept harem. It was highly religious- every tale was about blood. All the does had new names, blood in a diffrerent language for each one. All fawns were marked with blood spots, as Harly was. The stag, quite insane, was obsessed. And so, he created his own religion and forced others to it. Although, Harlequine was still taught of the old twin gods in a distant land, and it was a hope she kept to herself for a long time.

So, she grew up a fine doe. Tampered slighly in the mind, but she quickly grew out of it. Passing in and out of the seasons, it finally came to a rutt one year when her father fell, along with the harem as the stag who defeated him was quickly slaughtered afterwards. Confused, the does scattered, and Harlequine lost her mother slightly earlier than usual. This made her skittish and jumpy, but used to being alone.

She was soon picked up by another stag, who was quite old. He never spoke, and was tough. Harlequine still kept the twin gods a secret, and managed to escape one night along with her half sister, who had previously been pampered by her mental father. They held no jealously towards each other like the others had, and were close. Soon they came upon The Endless Forest.

They slept in the hollow tree on their first night, but Harly woke to find that her sister was no longer with her. Whether she is still alive or dead is a mystery, but Harlequine tried to forget and got on with life. When she came across the statues, she prayed, and felt like this place was home. Going down to the pond, she decided to stay in this land for as long as she could. Little did she know it was already inhabited by thousands.

And that is where we are today.
