My Mentor, My Friend, The Red
Things have been rough since you have been gone. I miss you. Lucian has still not forgiven me... If you were here to show him, maybe he would. No matter how persistent I was, he just lowered his antlers at me and kicked me with his hooves... even one of his daughters joined him. The doe peered up at The Red's companion, and a teary but happy smile crossed her face. A thank you passed her lips in the feral tongue, and she watched him sing. His proud red breast rose and fell with each trill, chirp, and comforting note. She used to be able to join him in the past, but now could not; though she was content to listen.
