Also, in the post, what I'd worry about is how the legs kind of look squished underneath him/her. In natural deer they don't, they kind of point upwards. The knee bucks upwards past the spine and the 'ankle' to hoof rest on the ground infront of the front legs, whereas the front legs remain tucked underneath like you drew.
Otherwise this is a very cute piece and the anatomy doesn't matter!! ♥

First off, let me just say
Now, since you said you wanted it to look as it the legs are going in the opposite direction, I would suggest doing it like this or something similar. I used screenshots from the Endless Forest game as references for that picture, so it should be mostly accurate.
