If I could see what lies beyond the stars
Or even if I could know what tommorow brings
How much wiser I would be
With a heavy heart
That to most seem humble
But really it craves for adventure
I crack a smile when I say
If only.. If only..
If only they would see me different
In a different point of view
Then maybe their minds would be open
Or perhaps at a first glance
They would quickly close up
To afraid to face the truth
If they had it their way
Things would always stay the same
But bound by the law of nature
Change is always around the corner
It cant be stopped
It cant be controlled
In a way its like the wind
You know its their
You can feel it on your skin
It can be a joyful sensation
Or it can be natural disaster.
If only we could know which one it would be
Then if possible we could brace ourselves
And prepare
But life seems to want to challenge us
Even in desparate times
Its a pain yes I agree
But listen closely to these words
Without the chalenge
Would it be worth it
Its the challenge of getting to or something
That gives us personal satisfaction
I still believe life is a journey
That continues on after death
Some go it alone
Some might have help along the way
Or some always have someone right beside them
There are many twists and turns to each tale
Of each individual and their journey
But each person is unique and valuable
In their own way
We are all different
But my dears
Thats what makes the world go round
And gives this life
A different meaning
If only there was a way for people to know
To never doubt that they are truly special
Then maybe you would see a smile on their face
If only ....If only..
I could know that the sun would rise
And that there would be another tommorow
Maybe that would put my mind at ease
But for now I smile
And close my eyes
And prepare for dawn to come
