I'll just have to hope it came out clearly enough that how the picture should be "read" is clear. He was fun to draw, once I got an idea I liked...I have, though, a mountain of ideas I could not get to work. Maybe one of them will see the light of day someday...

His design isn't actually that bad, relative to some of the others on my list: it's got markings, but they're relatively simple, and he's got a nice color that doesn't halfway-to-eat my lineart. Tthe main thing that caused me trouble in the planning stage was I wanted to show him using his talon-things like hands, but couldn't get his legs in a good position for that. So then I decided to use his butterfly to help me pose, and that worked out.
