Freaky Dream Journal Time

Between my computer slowly dying and the internet suddenly getting buggy I haven't been brave enough to enter the Forest lately. :/ It's so lonely to go on without internet but it's frustrating to get on when my connection is so laggy I can't keep up with the other deer and play with them. I hope we get the net fixed soon.

In the mean time: I'm not sure if anyone would understand who the characters I'm talking about in my dream (for some reason most of my dreams involve fictional characters and myself) but since I'm sharing it elsewhere I'll post it here too.

I actually had this dream yesterday morning right before getting up. As always my most rememberable dreams are also my weirdest and happen in that wonderful time where I wake up but my alarm hasn't gone off yet so I decide to doze until it does. So let's get to it, shall we?

Since it happened over a day ago, I'm not sure how it started... I think with a bunch of net-navis all in a group in a mall. But in the future (or more in the future) but not as far as Star Force (haven't played/watched it so I don't really know enough about it to dream about it.) Anyways, the navis were older, so they were wider too. But not that stupid expansion-fat, just normal older person-fat. But they were also flat, like they were key chain decorations (not sure how to explain it) and I don't know how they were in a "real world" mall, but they were. And it was all bright and clean and normal and they seemed to be having a private party to just hang out and be old folks together.

Change camera angle to outside the mall which looks like one of those typical post-apocalyptic-deserted-city type scenes. And Axl was standing there. Not sure how I knew it was Axl, it didn't look much like the X-series version of him, but that's who he was. So he dashes, only the dashes don't just end after a yard. It's like in VGames where there's a walk mode and a run mode only Axl's run mode was a continuous dash and I think his walk mode was a run. So he dashes up the stairs to the mall (which looks more like the entrance to a library) and it's just a row of glass doors with the glass half blown out. Axl pauses to open the door and I think that's wrong so in a rare and very weird spurt of actual control (as opposed to just watching my dreams) I decide that that doesn't seem right and make Axl start over. So then instead he just dashes through the doors (right inside is an old, beat up, rusting car, not sure how it got there). Mind you this doesn't happen all at once, the "camera" keeps switching back and fourth between the two scenes. I think at one point Rock.EXE was trying to feed cake to Roll.EXE. It was so cute and elderly couple-y.

Anyways, Axl goes in and I think he meets the navis. And they seem to get along and have a grand old time. So I get bored and think "I'd like to meet Axl now" and in a weird spurt of control AGAIN I go back to him outside the mall and put in... some sort of OC with a dress, bare feet, and black hair. I can't remember how long her hair was or if her dress was white or black (it probably changed throughout the dream), but I think she was a cyborg or maybe a classic robot (possibly master) and instead of just watching the dream from above and a little to the right I was watching mostly from over her shoulder and "being" her. Then "I" glomped Axl, which is weird because the rest of the dream "I" was quiet and unemotional. Anyways, the girl and Axl talked, then he tried to get info she didn't want to give so he chased her and she just walked away and still somehow went faster than him.

And then it was too hot to sleep so I woke up.

That was my weird dream, I'm not sure what was up with the weird OC I just randomly popped into the dream (I never have that much control!) and I know she was normal-human looking in the dream but now that I look back I imagine her with doll joints. Maybe I'll draw her some time.

Anyways, thanks for reading this. Not sure what you get out of it.

Congrats on that spontaneous

Congrats on that spontaneous dream-control there! It sounds like you had a bit of low-level awareness going on as well. If you've had dreams like this lately, you might have a lucid dream soon. Smiling

I've never really been into

I've never really been into interpreting dreams, honestly. I pretty much take them at face value, but that's usually because the dream will tell me what it's about. I'll see something that looks completely weird but know exactly what it is.

Other trends in dreams: streets from RL in different cities connecting up, often to take me to a school or other "familiar place" I've never seen before. Sometimes family members who don't look like who they're supposed to be. And falling. Lots and lots of falling.

Oh, something I forgot to

Oh, something I forgot to mention here because it doesn't have the previous dream journals like my DA and Gaia accounts do: I'm always a little lucid. It's rare that I'm not aware I'm dreaming, but that's probably because I'm already half awake when I'm dreaming. Control, on the other hand, is something that's beyond me. Sometimes when the dream switches to first person I might start controlling myself by trying to run or something but by that point I'm almost fully conscious so that doesn't work well.

I know: my regular dreams are already weird.

That's not weird at all!

That's not weird at all! Well, not to me -- I'm very fascinated with dreams and have been keeping records of mine for years. Smiling I think it's neat you have low-level awareness in most of your dreams. I have a similar thing as well. There are many things you can do to improve that awareness, but sometimes just sitting back and mildly observing the dreamscape is a rewarding experience.

If you're interested in dreams, I suggest the website DreamViews, where I learned just about everything I know. They have tips on improving dream recall and control, as well as ways to attain lucidity.

Well, I like sharing my

Well, I like sharing my extraordinary dreams, I'm not as fascinated by them. Thank you for the link though, if I ever do decide to try interpreting my dreams or work on the lucidity I'll definitely check it out. Mostly I think the most interesting dreams are the ones I don't try to control, I could never consciously write stories as interesting as the messed up stuff that comes out of my head then.
