June 17, 2009 - 10:04pm — Vira
Disoriented and confused, the doe ran through the forest. Ramming into trees, scraping her legs on the jutting rocks that surrounded the playground. The sound of hoof beats followed her in her head.
Skidding to a stop she looked around wildly. Anger. Anger was all that she could feel. The black deer from her nightmares had been following her, she was sure of it. Sending out a roar for help she darted off again to the darker parts of the forest, hoping to get away from the demon of her dreams.
Crashing out of the trees into a clearing, the cawing of large black birds that had been startled from the large blue doe took off. Head thrashing back and forth, trying to see everywhere at once, fear taking over, but her anger was still strong.
Calls from other deer gave Vira a sense of hope; she must be close to a heard! Taking off again she ran as fast as her long legs could take her. Blood dripped from under her skull mask as branches from trees smacked her in the face.
She didn’t care; she just wanted to feel the safeness of other deer surrounding her.
A tightening in her chest had her skidding to a stop.
...
Blood dripped from her legs and chest by cuts and stab wounds branches and rocks had given her from her terrified run.
She could see the other deer playing about the pond as if there was nothing wrong.
A large stag wandered away from the group, coming closer, closer, and closer still.
Suddenly, like a switch had been flipped, the kind looking stag charged Vira, tossing his head, sharp antlers coming oh so close.
Run
Her mind was yelling at her to run, but her legs wouldn’t move. Just before the stag came to impact, she turned and bucked, makeing contact with the stag's face. She turned around enough to see the other deer stagger back, blood dripping from his right eye.
What have you done
Terror sank in Vira's chest. What had she just done? Blinded a poor brother of the forest because of her fear?
Dashing off into the brush, tears ran with blood down her face, silently dripping onto the forest's soft grass.
---------------
2nd chapter ish thing of my story about Vira, The nightmare stag from the first chapter has been haunting her for a while and she couldnt take much more.
Vira will be acting a little strange for the next few days because of these events, so if she gets scared she may try and start a fight or run away.
Hope you like it |D
