This is a gift for Auxentius, about
The Emperor.
The Emperor of Night
He weaves through the forest,
Piercing the night with bright screech.
Fireflies scatter at his approach
And rise to reveal the moon of his face,
The icy space distance of his eyes.
Ruler of night, emperor of dusk:
His hoofsteps make the sound of beating wings
And leave a blood-red trail of feathers
At dawn, the border of his realm.
