Embrace

Anjali's picture

A Rock Hound picture.

(Please note: contains blood.)

This picture actually originated from a short story I tried writing, in which Anjali is attacked by a purple Rock Hound. But I was dissatisfied with the story, so I drew a scene from it: the scene in which Anjali and the Rock Hound fall into the Pond.

Although Anjali doesn't defeat the Rock Hound, he is happy (and lucky) enough to escape with his life!

Wow, close call! I hope he didn't get hurt too badly. We'll catch that rock hound another time!

Thank you again, I really like how you drew this!

Thank you. ^^ It was different for me to draw something more "violent."

Heh, he should be okay. I imagined that the Pond's transformative powers would allow him to escape in time, as a frog would be able to slip away from a Rock Hound unnoticed. But I didn't want Anjali to defeat the Rock Hound, because he's not a very good fighter...

When I drew brd encountering

When I drew brd encountering a rock hound in my journal, it ended up as a similarly intimate seeming moment (despite the danger to his life).
I like what you did here.

I don't strive to be the best, but instead I strive to do my best, and always give it my all every time.

Eyestrain: Thank you very

Eyestrain: Thank you very much. Smiling I was inspired by the idea of an encounter with near-death being a powerful, intimate experience, where the outcome is out of your hands and you might have to surrender to--even embrace--the moment, whatever happens.

Quad: Thank you so much! <3 I didn't expect it to be long; no worries.
