A Dove And A Doe

Me and a new friend... For a few seconds. .~.

11-28-2013

I've just returned to the forest (again) today, and decided to do a Journal Entry about my experience. Since I was getting used to the controls (again), my footing was considerably uneven and it was clear not a lot of people realized this. So I decided to be alone near the Graveyard so I could practice my footing again without disgracing myself in front of older members... So I did just that.

Whatever deer were there, they were sleeping quite deeply. I slid on the ground, galloped about around (and through) the others, howled by accident and even hit the ground on account of a wrong button. I was an absolute mess; But it was alright, as I managed to fix everything up and finally find my hooves. Slightly surprised most everyone was still sleeping (except a fawn that had been playing with me, who was currently running into the distance), I slipped away.

Thus, I was alone. Again. Which was good, in a sense, but it was also lonely. I wasn't used to being alone; Not for long, anyways. Even when I had been a wily, adventurous fawn, various deer took care of me and helped me walk around and make friends with the little pods venturing around the forest. Now I was really alone.

Then, something caught between my antlers. Inspecting it closely, I realized it was a dove. A quite friendly dove, by the looks of it; Resting on my poppy-decorated antlers. Aww.

That's when I noticed it had a name. This wasn't a Dove, it was a Deer! Hopping a little, it fluttered forward. I followed it. We walked together- Dove fluttering in front with the Doe just a few wingbeats behind- before it abruptly disappeared. I barely got a glimpse of it's glyph, so I was a little saddened and began calling for my little bird friend. I didn't get a reply, nor did it return to me, so I assumed it had lost me, as well.

Now I'm sad. And still looking for them.
