Just a thought-Forest Actions

One thing that's great from having my own little strip of forest from my backyard, I naturally have deer wander around. Well, I noticed from experience that deer stomp the ground with one of their front hooves when feeling uneasy/threatened, or issuing a warning to the other animal to "get lost". I think this would be an interesting thing to add to the forest actions. But please note, what I am referring to is different from pawing the ground, the stomp the deer use has no scraping motion on the ground. Also, it is already widely understood as a motion meaning "come here" or similar uses, which obviously is different from "go away". So using paw ground to show this emotion would likely cause confusion.

I have also thought of having a bucking/kicking action added, simply because I think it would comply well with the rearing action.

Of course I don't seriously expect these to be made forest actions, for they come across as violent or intimidating. This could cause problems in terms of keeping the forest in its sense of tranquility, which I understand, so no need to really point it out to me. I just found it worth a shot since I have seen it occur several times before with living deer. Also, as the forest's community expands and already, is very creative in their Role Play, I think these actions might very well come in handy.

I also know that Michael and Auriea are under pressure enough already, between budget, servers, and so forth. So I'm not trying to push this idea too hard. I just think its worth wondering about =)

Also, I would like to encourage ideas from people who have deer in their area, because I think observing them and picking up things from their behavior will let the community be able to bring great new things to the forest. <3333

Pictogram problems: identification glitch (M&A please)

Two days ago or so I set up a separate account for a new character, but the pictogram showed on the user's page works like I am using the picto selector, it just keeps scanning through random pictograms.

It started when I tried logging into the account through the game, when I logged in I was a fawn (as expected) but there was no pictogram so I logged in and out a couple times, but when there was no change I went to the site.

When i got to the site I logged in fine, no problems. But when I went to the account page the pictogram picture wasn't working right, it was non-stop scanning through pictograms, like it was set on randomize. I also tried viewing it while logged on my main (this) account, it still did it.

Here is the account page ----> http://endlessforest.org/community/russianistic

For those deer who need a little thrill seeking...-Ideas for TEF-

I was wandering through the support forum when I came across an interesting post on someones idea about making a new part of TEF called The Black Forest where it would be dark and the trees would be closer. In which wolves will attempt to ambush your deer and chase it down, if you were to be killed by a wolf your deer will transform into a wolf itself, and you would try to kill another deer in order to return to you return to your original state. But the wolves can not leave the Black Forest. But of course the are some major flaws in this idea.

1. TEF is supposed to be somewhat light-hearted, adding predators and "killing" other deer just would not fit into TEF

2. It would be very laborous and time consuming to create another part of the forest along with correct wolf movements and having to make them playable.

3. Wolves are very popular animals among people (including myself) therefore the majority of the players will spend most of the time in that one area, leaving the rest of the forest deserted and those not wishing to go into the Black Forest rather lonely.

Now, I have an idea that still supports the main point of the Black Forest but is quite altered to a degree. At least once a month the gods will summon a thunderstorm (at a time of choosing) in which it will be quite dark. During the thunderstorm players will be stalked and chased by a "phantom-like" deer which I have given the name The Wraith. If a deer was to be "caught" by The Wraith it would have a spell cast on it, I have some theories of what the spell will do, perhaps giving the player's deer bizarre or scary hallucinations (Which would also be viewable by the player to a certain degree, I have no wish to scare players too much) for around 15 seconds, by then The Wraith would likely looking for another victim and the deer would be snapped out of the trance. This idea would be able to entertain the player's desire of thrill while keeping the experience free from gore.
