Dealing With Furfur

"Oh! Hi there. Come to learn about how I communicate?"

Dealing with and Understanding Furfur

Greet with a bow before approaching or your invasion of space will cause him just to run. He will normally run from deer he does not recognize if they charge at him. If he is somewhat familiar with the deer but not close friends he may still keep a small distance between them.

If he is at the twin gods getting his pelt, and he is approached by a deer he will ignore them. Furfur is not Furfur until he is wearing a pelt.

Sleeping deer worry him greatly. He fears that they will never wake up and will often times wait by a sleeping friend or acquaintance until they wake or disappear. Upon waking he will immediately leave as to not get attacked.

He will sometimes be seen without a mask on. If a strange deer approaches him while he is maskless he will run or hide behind his friends.

He can be very protective of his friends, especially if they are sleeping. He will most likely not attack a deer unless they show aggression, but he will put himself between his friends and strange deer. If he knows his friend does not want company he will taunt+shake his head no+bow to try and tell that deer their presence is not wanted.

Communication:

His communication is usually very basic and understandable.
Bowing: I accept your greeting. He will NEVER bow first to a deer that is not a close friend. The action is only given when another bows first or he is forced to leave the forest.

Sad+cower+Bow: FurFur is leaving the forest. This is his way of saying goodbye.

Lowering horns: Go away.
You're not welcome to stay and no one wants to play with you.

Rearing up: A totally harmless gesture when he is dancing but should be taken as aggression if done when paired with mooing, taunting, or lowered horns.

Cower+head tilt: Why are you scared? Why do you flee?

Head tilt: What do you want?/Is this the one?

Moo+Taunt+No: I’m warning you! Stop being rude! Leave me alone/Go away/Stop that!

Nuzzling: Acceptance. There is no reason for the deer being nuzzled to ever fear him.

Paw ground at a sleeping deer: He is trying to wake that deer. He does not want a pelt, just to see if he can get their attention.

Backing away+Taunt: You're too close! I'm trying to get some distance between us, stop approaching me!

Laugh+rear: He is just being silly. The combination of these actions cause him to float.

Sad+laugh: He is sitting in the air. Most likely on the back of another deer. Just another silly gesture.

Shake head no+bow: He does not feel up to playing today. This is his polite way of asking to be left alone.

Fighting Moves

Taunting+turning around+Laying down:He has grown bored with the fight OR He refuses to fight any longer. This does not mean that he has chosen defeat, just that he is being the bigger person and ignoring the deer.
Dancing: He doesn't take your deer seriously at all. He has become ethereal and is just dancing at them while the attempted blows go through. He will not fight. Usually coupled with bouts of laughter+floating.

Furfur will not fight unless it is a friendly spar.
