Failed to participate in the rut at all.

Lately! has been relieved to see the return of Iva, and also enjoyed meeting Arumi and receiving an unexpected gift from the dragon.

Still has a cool cast on his dumb leg.


September 4th, 2021

A few weeks back, left Braith to get outnumbered two-vs-one at many points while Taveer panicked, ran around looking for Accendare, whom he'd seen getting chased and then lost, in front of his own mother until she took pity on him and also joined in. "Kind of" fought with Shahla and Accendare and Braith against the aggressors until others came in to help which took a good while. Unrelated, found bleeding out by Vrasa and taken away for some major surgery in Mellume, leaving his roommate (also unconscious) behind.

More relieved than he admits to have gotten a chance to recover outside of the Forest while he's been limited in his travels, and especially while in need for advanced medical help. Even made a "contact" there that made Veer decide to spend a few extra days there, on the pretense of getting approved for a certain therapy, though even that was a veiled excuse to rest in the face of some nefarious sounding reasons he should be leaving. Extremely grateful to Vrasa, who left him with some thought-provoking words and a candy bar for him and Braith.

Finally returned today after giving himself a bit more time to heal. Wearing an advanced and extremely comfortable 'cast' which leaves him able to move much easier than he deserves but how're you doing, Braith??

Lazing around the Forest, finding company pleasant and easy to come by these days. Usually reliably tries to touch base with Set, Kozan, and their friends every so often. In doing so, privy to some tensions that he's been half-minding for his friends' sakes, keeping a tab on things only to the point where he feels it would be useful in case it brings any bad will their way. Though one conversation did leave him concerned for another in the process. Flattered to be sought out by Shahla and Simone separately.

Broke out of a small cuddle pile to check on Ragnarra nearby, the hyena fresh with injuries and on her way out, which he vehemently agreed with - still, enjoyed a couple minutes with her before she had to leave. Returned for more time with his family, even going so far as to cuddle with his littlest niece and get kitty paws in his face as Parveen leveraged him to push herself closer against Shahla.

Visited by Fog the next night, and pretended not to be amused by them producing a perfect likeness of themself nearby. Equally irritated they didn't address their last communications, or the fact that they had noticably increased in size; which is to say, he fell asleep shortly after.


June 9th, 2021

Deprived of his preferred lodgings following an ill-advised sightseeing tour, tending to visit the Forest frequently and, often, a little more exhausted and disjointed than he'd prefer. Gaining the ability to tune out the drone of Forest sounds especially in some recent brawls that he's preferred not to take part in, though he does keep an eye out for certain individuals that may be involved. Fully expects some others.

Some of his most enjoyable moments in Forest have absolutely been keeping peace with an infant (Solana) and he's very okay with that.

After being warned not to go out on Solstice, and not being given any more information on which day or planetary system Solstice fell, has made a point of going out every single day instead in the hopes of getting answers, so far to no avail.


October 5th, 2020

Pleasant turnouts, with the rut, despite only managing to participate one full day in an instance which heavily involved his family members and close friends padding his "herd," and certainly some usurpers who might plausibly have claimed the group for their own. Stiffly fought through an entire round with Madison, before being faked out enough times in a match with Altijd that he realized absolutely anything seemed to go. Relaxed and enjoyed himself a lot more after this, some reservations he'd had about the rut also dissipating as long as a less serious tone was achieved. Enjoyed strategizing in the few hours it lasted, when Neli took over a spar definitely used the chance to try and rub on some nearby pines after catching a zealous competitor do the same.

Reunited with his older sister, Tsabhi, and Kío amid the rut as well as spending time with Shahla and Stría and maybe, distantly, Día sometimes, but still a little dismayed over Día trying to beat up Umay for him a few weeks back!! so was honestly not looking to be upstaged by his littermate again. Distracted later into the event by some more serious matters with Neli, and worries concerning Braith, though overall glad to have a more balanced view of the entire event than just sheer rutting.

Dozed nicely while Neli and Ing spoke about a sheep, a day earlier! Coasted through today just really not getting involved in any violence despite probably it being kind of borderline inappropriate that he wasn't, in some cases. Tried to be responsible, given some young company, to the extent of leading Floei off from a nearby predatory being (Braam) and led her over to Neli and a sleeping Aleta, who soon left. Later on sidelined a conflict with a slightly more familiar presence, which more closely involved Neli and Yasu, whom he's met a few times in the Lark's company. Broke out laughing at a comment from Neli after and tried not to look too frantic about Yasu's bite wounds, greatly assured when the latter promised she would get help.


September 7th, 2020
Enjoying lots of time spent in forest with family - often Shahla and her companions, Stria, and Día, occasionally other siblings and nieces - and close bonds, particularly Ragnarra and Neli. Lost some of the reservations and pains he'd been taking in prior conduct, to his own surprising relief, starting to feel a great deal more grounded and comfortable in the Forest he'd loved as a child.

Overall, despite an indisputable streak of bad luck lately, is able to approach the rut with more levity and ambition than his more dour mindset during last year's season.

January 30th, 2020
Did end up getting to visit with Xiao and his other sisters a few times in the last few weeks, which along with Shivali's company has kept him in a pretty positive mindset regarding the Endless.

More recently, encouraged by a chat that went well with Neli, one upward stroke of luck putting him onto thoughts of troubles in an outside realm where said luck could be best used.

A little worried about Bise after seeing her arrive in the forest after a few days' absence and thinking he'd caught some new injuries on her (though it can be hard to tell, with her), only sometimes pausing to put long thought into how she might've attained any theoretical injuries - or if it mattered - and the overall fleeting nature of friendships in the Forest, his contributions to a futile cycle... and more than the short lifetime he's spent wanting certain things to happen, now willing certain ones not to occur.

Met Carmine for a while earlier today. Then Nélida, or rather her thousand-yard stare, visited him in the afternoon, when he was able to get the latest on some of the doe's recent troubles. Maybe misery loves the same, but was earnestly relieved by her willingness to discuss some of it, and even the subject matter being something that he found very relatable. Wished her luck; doesn't think she'll need it for a moment.


January 2nd, 2020
Wanted to go see his sisters (and Ronra) yesterday, but had an early day visit by Apri and Neli joined him later, which... kept him very complicitly where he was, and also set him into something of a nostalgia trip. Spent the day being just a little too deeply appreciative for various things. Most felt the loss of a chance to see Xiao, but hoping to see her around soon.

Even gladder to have Vidal join him and Neli later on, always feels a bit worried when he hasn't seen the spirited buck around for a while. Felt a little conflicted over some mannerisms he displayed, and the evening sort of fell apart after a moment he didn't help much (on either side of things). Kept Vidal company until the male left for the night.

Felt a suspicious frost in the air and went to sleep in the Oak on a hunch... woke up to snowfall outside and figured that was about right. Right back to sleep after shuffling over to one wall of the Oak to make room for anyone else who might want to share the shelter.

Following a rough few days, glad for a lazy morning and afternoon, and to be joined by Braith during the latter. Nodded a friendly 'hello' to a familiar face (Apri) who sat a little ways down the bank and watched some nearby action with interest.

Exchanged friendships for experiences in Ivelon, his adventures spiraling out from the home Shahla had once rooted his siblings and himself in, after taking up schooling from Leia through his early adolescence. Put in an admittedly minimal amount of effort into letting family know he wasn't dead, at least, but not much beyond it. Obtained and exhausted a considerable amount of experience in neighboring areas, burning through the sense of joy he'd once thought he could always count on in his travels. Reached a standstill a few months back and from there, wasn't sure what to do, and came back into the Forest with a sheepishly little amount to show for it all.

Didn't find his return to be the panacea for the sort of dark, lagging ghost of ineffectiveness that had settled over him in Ivelon, but then, hadn't expected it to. Found it easier to grow comfortable with discomfort in his birthplace, however, and even then, was treated to visits by family that were nothing short of acts of charity- Xiao, Kío, and Stria prominent early presences along with his nieces, none of whom he'd ever really gotten to know. And of course there was Braithe and Magpie, nearly from day one, both of whom served as significant impressions in those early days, though he regrettably hasn't seen Magpie since. Still, wallowed his ineptitude for a good amount of weeks before Braith broke the regular pattern that had settled over him (ghosting around familial hangouts), something he remains incredibly grateful for in hindsight.

Found Kío and Shahla's almost immediate disappearances from the Forest when he showed up to be a clear signifier of something that he's been trying to figure out the shape of ever since. On a more immediate level, feels glad both had done what they needed to do for themselves. And it was such a clear dismissal of his return that he didn't have to feel particularly divided over what his next move should be. So, for the most part, he didn't have one.

Feeling more established in the past few weeks despite a somewhat chaotic lifestyle taking him between several realms. In more recent days has been able to rekindle the appreciation that this Forest had sparked in him as a fawn, bolstered by getting to see some familiar faces from his childhood during the recent rut and new concerns.

Various visits from family members; has been grateful for all of them, while marking and taking note of any possible reservations on their part. Keeping a sort of mental tally of debts owed in this regard. A tiring process, if only because he intends to act on it and there's a certain measure of energy required to hold himself to a premeditated act.

Feeling the aftereffects of a few days of witnessing really intense interplay between virtual strangers that still don't sit fully right for one reason or another. Not fully comfortable with some conclusions he's come to, casting off the thoughts from his mind like sloughed off skin, because it holds the same level of personal appeal. Anyway... lost his temper a little bit earlier, trying not to think about that. Hard to do when he ended up seated across the pond from Krowe just later the same hour.
