*hides*...if you don't like it, I'll take it down...

It's a sketch of Darcy, complete with graphite (pencil lead) fingerprints and smudges, heh...his markings seperated from his pelt, and are carrying him aloft through the forest. I realize his other pair of wings doesn't show...but I tried to draw it (you can probably see that, lol, eraser marks), and it cluttered it too much x.x So...let's pretend they're there, just...not visible. :3

I was originally going to draw Darcy looking down at Reetno, but it took me an hour and a half to draw Darcy alone ;-; Maybe I'll finish it, one day, but...I fail at drawing Reetno ;-;

I love the surreal feel to that! I wish I could do that kinda flowing stuff...

Ha... only an hour and a half? It's taken me over a week to draw this one picture and it still isn't done and it's only three characters... I wish I could draw something like that in only an hour and a half...

Aww... Reetno no want you feel fail... *hidesinshame*

I actually improved whilst drawing this...I learned why my hooves never seemed normal before. Yay.

My sketching style is...odd. You can see for yourself, especially in the big pictogram. I sketch lines quickly, and then bold over them. If I sketch too much, I have to bold over the same spot multiple times because I rub it out with my hand x3

Curious...am I the only person that doesn't use those circles and other things when drawing? I just draw outlines x3 *is weird*

Yesh. Be fooled by the lined paper and smudges. Think I did a good job. MWAHAHA. *twiddles hooves*

(note to self: you suck at butterfly wings. they look like a dead bird's bootie. never draw them again. they scare people.)

I used to draw with no skeleton, but I found it was so much easier to get it more atomically correct if I did use a skeletal sketch first...

I like the organic feel of this drawing, it's an interesting style. I see your drawing suffers from the same smudging problem that mine do. Sticking out tongue (And then when it's not fingerprints, it's bits of eraser stuck all over from me trying to clean them :B )

To help stop unwanted

To help stop unwanted smudging I sketch with an 2H pencil then a darker grade after that and I always cover the picture with a blank piece pf paper on the part under where my hand rests...

Hehe, you'll all kill me for

Hehe, you'll all kill me for this, but I love the smudging. It reminds me of all of the time I took drawing the picture.

NOT smudged pen, though. I loathe pens. They are of the deer-devil. x.x

Also, without an eraser, my paper goes by like...WHOOSH.

I like to smudge myself, if that is the look I'm going for... easy to do that... just buy some smudging paper rolls... and that way you choose where the smudges are, lol...

Sometimes I will use scrap

Sometimes I will use scrap paper under my hand when I draw, but it seems to make the piece look disjointed. When I can't see the whole thing, I may not be aware that the shading or detailing is off in the part I'm working on. Unity is one of my biggest weaknesses in art. Laughing out loud

I do use wax paper and a tortillon for charcoal drawings though, way too messy otherwise!

^ Kneaded erasers are also really awesome for highlights Smiling

Aww...thank you Anzel ^^

Aww...thank you Anzel ^^ It's beautiful. I love good old fashion pencil drawings. The designs in this are really cool and stylisitc. I LOVE the antlers and the wings, and it's a really neat idea.

Heh, I've always used skeletons >< I can draw without them but...as Zab said, it's better to get the anatomy correct with them. Sometimes I'll make a basic outline and then add the skeleton later to refine it.

I sometimes, in school,

I sometimes, in school, liked to draw skeletal figures on the sides of my papers. I mean, how in the world could I ever avoid falling asleep in History OTHERWISE? Yawn.

Unfortunately, though, I can draw skeletal creatures well enough (i love wyverns, and drawing human-wolf skeletal creatures), but I can't draw the skin. Meh. I just...draw.

No: Sketch.

Drawing is a thick line, once drawn. Sketching is a trillion lines drawn 1000x over. And often is too light for the scanner, so I must draw over :3
