The Biography of Sir Faris, Knight-Errant

Age
Vigorous

Gender
Male

Appearance
Faris is a tall, muscular stag: having trained his body throughout his youth, he looks the part of a knight. He wears the kabuki pelt, declaring that the red stripe puts him in mind of a passionate banner, waving in the wind...or something like that. He also wears the secretary bird mask, as it covers his eyes, like the helmet of a knight (he also likes the fringes). A pair of real deer antlers completes his look, which he feels are large, maginficent, and, of course, the perfect weapon for a spar. It is unclear what color his eyes are beneath his mask -- it is suspected they are blue.

Personality
He is obsessed with the ideas and the ideals of knighthood: he is forthright, honest, and brave. He considers himself a protector of fawns and ladies. He has a tendency to come on a little strong towards the ladies, and considers himself to be "looking for a doe whose favor he might wear into battle, and whose honor and beauty he may swear himself to," whatever that means. He enjoys the company of other deer, and considers himself quite social. He can, however, be a little bit impatient.

Faris is very competitive: it's part of his idea of knighthood. He loves to spar with other deer, a concept that he considers full of honor and strength: to spar with another deer is a test of the truest strength, and a sign of respect on both sides. He loves the deer who choose to spar with him like brothers, viewing them as "honorable foes." The fact that most deer do not understand this, or do not understand his requests to spar, hurts him deeper than any sparring wound. He's aware that other deer might be afraid of fighting; he tries to think of ways to compete with deer who may not wish to spar him. He has found some limited success with racing, though not nearly with the level of fairness he would like.

Locations
Faris likes to sleep in the gap between two intertwined trees near the ruins, one a mushroom tree. Besides that, he is a wanderer

So he was trying to spar

So he was trying to spar with Fenkovan! XD The other deer (with the candles) that was with us got a little angry though, so I just kept out of it. Luckily we all had a good laugh after. Faris is a very nice guy!

I believe Spade's first sparring match was with him. =D But it got cut short by other deer arriving, looking confused by the fighting. XD;

Polt understood what he

Polt understood what he meant! She also recognised him from somewhere, and only now realises XDD It's been a while since they met! Polt tried to convince Fenko to spar with Faris, but he didn't get it, so she tried herself <3
Feathers make no match, though XD

@ Avani: He was angry? I

@ Avani: He was angry? I honestly thought it was just a good laugh, and a moment of Faris getting to do what he loves best...If he was angry, then we best not tell Faris that: he'd probably just have annoyance there.

@Pega: I can't honestly recall that, but maybe I'm just addled in general. Still, it'd be nice to see them spar -- Faris is always looking for some reliable sparring partners.

@ Misako: It's not how well you do, it's how hard you try ^^ Faris had an excellent time, regardless.
