Andy's Lesson

"Hey, Bellsy!" Andy strolled up to Bellsio, who was sitting on the grass. He sat crouched down next to him, making sure not to get his pants wet.

Bellsio looked over to the blond man, a big happy smile appearing on his face. "Hi Andy!" He moved his hands along the ground slightly, his way of wagging a tail.

"How was your day today? Sorry, I'm so late..." Andy shrugged, looking out on the park, patches of brown-green grass blotching across the area.

"Deh? Eh, nod gread... Play sum fetch tho! Much fun, yea?" He pushed back his glasses, thinking back on the recent memory.

Andy rubbed his hand on Bellsio's hair, showing his appreciation for his day. "I actually came to ask you something."

Bellsio looked at him, tilting his head, "Ask? Me?"

"Yeah, but, let's go back to the home first, 'kay?" He stood up, grabbing Bellsio's collar and tugging it lightly to let him know they were leaving.

Bellsio moved his hands in front of him and started loping along with Andy. The drive back to the home was typical, Bellsio looking excitedly out the window at all the cars and possible dogs looking out other windows. Bellsio used to be very noisy about this, but over the years he learned to calm down about it, only saying anything if he saw something particularly interesting.

After the long drive, they were there. The somewhat large, white building loomed over them as they approached and went through the door. Bellsio and Andy went over to his room, passing by many residents and visitors. The young man clambered up onto his bed and waited impatiently for his friend to speak.

Andy saw his excitement, making him smile. He took a chair, without turning it around, and sat down, resting his arms and chin on the back. He took a moment. "Bellsio..." He raised a yellow eyebrow, "You need a haircut."

Bellsio growled, then blinked. "Dat not wud yoo wan to say!" He took a hand and smoothed his long black hair out.

Andy chuckled, "You're right, sorry. I was gonna ask you... Do you know what... love is?"

"Luff?..." Bellsio looked upward slightly, then nodded, "Yea, yea... I thik I kno... Is good, yea?"

Andy smiled, nodded, "Yeah... It's very good. But it's also dangerous. I've seen you around that girl, you know? What was her name again?"

The black-haired man smiled, "Is Cal..."

"Yeah, Cal... Is she special to you?"

Bellsio tilted his head again, "Yea... why?"

"Well... I, uh.." Andy scratched his head, thinking of how to put it. "Have you ever felt that way about a girl before?"

"Feld... way? Uhh... No, is noo..."

"You sure? I mean, I know you don't know a lot of people... Other than Glow-"

Bellsio crumpled a little at the mention of her name.

Andy's eyes gave a twinkle of sadness. "I'm.... I'm sorry..."

"No... is okeh... Is nod tha sehm... is... is dif... diffrend..."

Andy looked at him, not knowing what to say next. So it was different. But was that really love? Maybe the beginning of it... Andy put a hand on the man's hunched shoulder. Bellsio didn't look up. He was already taken by sad, old memories. Andy got up, ruffled his black hair a little, and walked out of the room, leaving the young pup to brood alone.

((sorry if you have trouble understanding Bellsio, i just LOVE butchering the English language for his sake XD))
