Hum.

I wonder if this forest shall be different than my home.
Well, these red flowers are pretty, to be sure. It was lovely sleeping among them.
Now... I remember traveling here, but... hum, who am I again?
Oh dear. Have I forgotten my own name? How odd.

Well... I suppose for the time being I will call myself the Hat Lady. For, surely, the hat I wear on my head is not a usual occurrence for deer... Three peacock feathers, stuck into violet felt, folded at the brim.
Hum. The Hat Lady. I am quite fond of it, now.

Perhaps I ought to explore this new forest. I can hear faint sounds, the sounds of others...
Pah, I am a silly Lady, to be sure. Why, where has my confidence gone? Hesitant to approach others? Silly me. But I am a stranger, and it will surely seem odd if there are some specialties or procedures here that I know nothing about, and I approach, clueless. Hum, being a stranger is quite difficult.

My, what is this? Ruins of a castle? A church? A fortress? In my old forest the deer would call it "human"...
An interesting structure, to be sure.
More of those lovely red flowers grow around a tilted piece of these ruins. I think I will rest here a slight bit; I seem to still be worn from my travels.

Oh dear, the sun's getting quite hot! I suppose it's time for me to go into the trees again. Hum, I wonder what I'll find next? This forest is a very beautiful place; almost magical. I see little mushroom circles dotting the ground, and patches of sweet little purple flowers...

Well, this is and interesting find. Two thin trees, and between them, a soft patch of cushiony ferns. Oh, lovely! It is almost like someone placed them specifically like that to form a restful nest. Hum, I am fond of this place very much. The ferns are so soft! What a perfect place to rest out the strains of travel...

...hum...so peaceful...sleep...comes...quickly...

...ahh... What a lovely rest that was! I feel refreshed and spright, ready to explore again!
I walk a slight bit, gazing through the forest, and I spot an odd scene; a brown stag, adorned with trumpets on his head and a skull for a face, sitting within a mushroom circle atop a hill. Now, why would one do that? How odd! But perhaps it is usual for the inhabitants here. And how strange he looks! Why would one wish for a skull as a face, and trumpets for antlers? Hum, I have much to learn.
Well, surely for him a purple hat is a great oddity, so I ought to not say anything.

I watch him a little while, curious why he sits so still. After some time, he falls asleep! My!
But then he breathes quickly, and shudders with waking. Surprised, I jolt, and the stag stares at me, slightly befuddled.
He bows (why, are the deer here courteous?), and curtsy in return, for my mother always used to say "polite greetings comes first". He walks closer, and I, slightly apprehensive of his actions, step back. He understands my uncertainty, and with a sad kind of gesture he goes away.
Hum, but company would be enjoyable now, it would. So I follow, and after some time he turns, bewildered.

I am still confused, sir, of this new forest; forgive me! But soon he shows me some things of this forest; the action of hopping over and over in circles, for one thing. How silly and enjoyable it is! I think I am fond of it, now. And my, how odd; the trees here, you can pass through them! I never would've guessed. But this stag is a kind fellow.
Hum... This may be a good home for me. But it does seem there is much to learn.

Note: Though it is not visible in the screenshots, she does indeed wear a hat. A drawing of her design will be done soon (hopefully!). Also, the events described above may have occurred... two days ago? I'm not sure anymore Dx blargh. Forgive me!
