Hidden in the bush, Amika was watching other fawns through the spaces between the leaves and branches. She tried to play with a fawn, but it was a failure. He ran away when he saw the knife she got out of her long fluffy tail. She knew she had to be more careful, if she wanted to play with another fawn, she'll have to trap him. But for now, she was too scared to get out of her bush.
Don't worry, she told herself.
Nobody heard, nobody saw. She was shaking, she was cold. She then realized it was raining and saw all the fawns laying against each other. She was alone. The bush couldn't warm her, it wasn't a good shelter. The only thing she wanted for now is to lay against someone, someone who could replace her sister, who could take care of her for some time.
She started to cry. She didn't want to be here, in this stupid forest. She would do anything to go back home with her parents. Why? Why did she have to suffer all of this?
Mommy, daddy, I miss you so much..., she whispered in her cry. She'll never see them again. She wanted to avenge them, but she didn't know how. She'll stay here until someone finds her and finally takes care of her, even if she knew that nobody will do that, nobody likes her after all...
I know I seem impatient, but
Bump!
Thais was walking alone
She was almost resuming her walk when her eyes spotted something moving inside a nearby bush. With golden fur, mostly. Curious as she is, Thais approached the bush, inspecting it cautiously, her red hair almost getting caught in the branches due to the wind. "Are you okay over there?" She said with a quiet voice, yet to know what was hiding in the vegetation. All she could tell was it was small.
Someone's there!, Amika
"Hum...Yes...I'm okay, thank you to ask." She said before adding: "This bush isn't a good shelter, the raindrops pass between the leaves and the branches. So cold..." She didn't dare to ask the doe to come with her, she thought it would cheer her up to go find another shelter in her company and maybe make her feel like if she wasn't alone anymore, but it was harder to talk to a grown-up than to a fawn. She took a deep breath and asked: "Can I come with you, please? I feel so alone here..."
It couldn't be something
Amika smiled, she got out of
The gold and brown fawn could make out the oak further. A deer carrying a fawn on his back went inside, the fawn looked exhausted. She walked on a sweet grass tuft that barely touched her leg and made her smiling, while they were approaching the oak. This feeling was so pleasurable, along with the feeling of not being alone that she expected, she looked at the doe again. At this moment, a question came to her mind. "What is your name by the way?"
As the fawn begin to walk
The oak was almost there, and gladly it seemed like not many deer was resting inside yet. She smiled, happily. She didn't do well being close to so many deer, it always made her stressed and jumpy. The rain was already making them soaking wet, and she feared for the tiny being beside her, even though they seemed happy somehow. As she heard a question, she looked at her "Oh sorry about that, haha. I kind of never remember to introduce myself. My name is Thais" She said slightly bowing her head, feeling her hair starting to glue on her fur. "What about you?" She asked when they finally reached the huge tree, and glady to see just a few deer inside. Thais waited for the fawn to get in first, while she shook away the water from her fur. The burgundy doe then went to a cozy part, making room for the fawn to sit beside her.
Amika shook herself being
"Nice to meet you, Amika"
As Amika became quiet, so did the doe, paying attention to who was inside the oak, who was outside not minding the rain. Thais sighed and lowered her head over her own neck, and closed her eyes as well. "Its easy to fall asleep to this sound." She said, chuckling quietly.
"Yes..." Amika said, closing
The gold and brown fawn was in a white room, wearing a straitjacket, a muzzle and was sitting against a wall. In the opposite wall, there was a huge glass, she could see her parents behind it, talking to a psychiatric nurse. Kamaya was looking sadly to Amika through the glass, she seemed worried and was younger. Her parents looked at her after their talk before going away. The little fawn began to cry out, calling them but the sounds were muffled by the muzzle she was wearing.
She woke up, the rain had stopped, she looked at Thais who fell asleep too. There wasn't many deers inside the oak, only a fawn was sleeping near them. Amika got up and stretched out before went to the opening of the oak, the birds were singing now. She would liked to take a walk, but she didn't want to leave Thais alone. She decided to wait for her and sat in the opening, against the wall of the oak.
Thais opened her eyes,
Amika turned her eyes towards
"I see." Thais nodded,
Amika was confused. "Well, I
"Oh, I understand." The doe
Thais walked ahead of the fawn and looked at the options, the playground rocks could be a good idea, but as the other said about being hungry, her green eyes landed on Amika. "Hmm. Well, it can be anywhere, really. But mostly in the tall grass. Maybe we should go to the blue bow, there are some rabbit wholes there. And some birds nests around that area" She mentioned, knowing it could not be so easy for a fawn to hunt those preys, but well, if the small one failed there, there were many blueberry bushes all around. "Come, its this way." Thais said, leading the way.
"Blue bow?" Amika looked
"Yes, the blue bow is a good
It didn't take long until they reached the Blue Bow, the blueberries bushes making a sea of blue-purple to anywhere they looked at. "We arrived." She said, cheerfully. "Should I stay here while you go ahead to hunt?" Thais asked as it would not help her stalk her prey. The burgundy doe would watch the other and take the time to eat some blueberries while she were at it anyway.
"Well, I don't know. Probably
She came back to Thais, the dead rodent in her mouth, she put in on the ground, sat and began to rip it apart. "So delicious!, she said after swallowing the first mouthful. "I still prefer the squirrels though." Amika watched some other fawns playing while she was eating. They look more delicious than this rabbit, she told herself. No, said a little voice in her head. Don't kill them! What will think Thais if you do that? You're not a murderer, you're not a monster. So stop watching these little ones and eat your meal! She wanted to reply but the voice was right, even if she wasn't sure of that. If she kills these fawns, will it be good or bad? She shook her head violently. "Thais...?, she said, looking at the burgundy doe. Is killing other deers bad? She then thought too late about Thais' reaction, maybe the doe would be outraged to hear a fawn asking about this kind of things.
Thais nodded and went to the
When Amika finally got it, Thais kept her distance to let her have her time with the prey. Thais wasn't interested in watching it too. The doe herself was almost done with her blueberries when she heard the fawn call her name, and the question she made afterwards, made the expression on the burgundy doe change. "Hmm." She looked at the fawn yet to know how to react to that question but she needed to be frank. "If that is avoidable, would be better. If you have other ways of feeding yourself, it would be better. A carnivore or omnivore has to eat as much as a herbivore, I know." She tilted her head at the fawn. "But someday you may find hard to gain other's trust to be near you or let their loved ones around you." The red haired doe had fawns as friends and maybe her own someday, and she wouldn't be comfortable to see them playing together if she knew one of them had a chance of eating the other. Yet, she left something else for the fawn to think about. "Do you want to hunt deer?"
(Sorry, I didn't have time
Its okay ^^
(Back now, sorry for the late
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Amika didn't answer, she was staring at the floor while eating the rest of her meal. I...can I confess you something...?" She wasn't sure it was a good idea to tell her everything. But she felt like she could count upon Thais, like if she could tell her everything. She ate the last piece of rabbit but she didn't dare looking at the doe. She had shame.
She could hear the fawns playing, as well as the birds singing and some branches cracking because of the wind which was picking up. The wolfish fawn sighed silently, the conversation was getting her awkward but she felt she had to tell someone everything to feel better. Keeping these secrets was almost about to get her insane, she became erratic since she lost her parents.
The masked doe looked at her
Thais sat near the berries and invited Amika to join beside her. If she needed to tell her something so personal, the doe shouldn't make her feel uncomfortable. "What is it?" The doe asked.
"Well..., the golden
As the fawn approached, Thais
"Taking someone's life for pleasure, even if you believe they go to a better place is wrong and disrespectiful, because its not for you to decide." Her voice was stern. "Its the type of thing only the lowest beings would do. And I believe you are not that type." Thais said, still measuring her words. "They won't be near you because they can't trust you, Amika..." As she said, the doe's expression showed worryness towards the other. "...and when you grow up things only get worse."
As Amika thanked Thais, the doe felt the necessity to help her and as she finally standing up, she said "You don't need to thank me for anything, but all I can say is I wish you don't go that path. You don't deserve its reward." She tilted her head to the fawn, wishing she would consider her words until now. "I should probably get going now."
After Thais had finished
As the sun was slowly going down, she looked for the Ruins. After some minutes, she finally found them and went to the North-west of them, looking at the fireflies above the periwinkles. She waited against the severed trunk near the mushroom circle for a while. Now, she could say it: it was one of the best day of her life. Suddenly, she saw a red spot in the distance. As it quickly approaches her, she realized it was Kamaya who seemed very worried, probably about her.
Waiting for your last reply
(Yes, sorry about that! I had
The burgundy female thought about how young the child was, and yet was already divided between her instincts and her heart. What would become of her when she became adult? Thais didn't stop to think about the fact that they could not see eachother again, and perhaps in the future they would become enemies in case Amika pursued this path, but stopped thinking about it when she heard the child say that she had to go away too. "Of course, a good night for you" she said, mimicking a smile. "Hmm. I hope I have helped you." She said, looking into the eyes of Amika, wishing she really had understood the mistake in her action.
Thais returned the hug and when the child turned her back and left, the red haired doe continued to watch her for a while, until she had lost sight of Amika, starting to go on her own way. She finally reached her own home, and hoped Harin would be around, maybe then tell him about the situation and see what advice he had to offer to the doe about all that.
It's okay, I understand.
So, before closing the RP, I wanted to thank you to have RP with me and if you want, I'll be happy to RP with you again another day.
Maybe I'll see you in the forest. ^-^
EDIT: I almost forgot, I made an art for the RP, just click on Kamaya's picture in my signature. You'll find it with a note below. I hope it's okay. ^-^
