"Nothing."
Nothing is what he felt, or at least, was all he could fathom in this endless red smog.
They were gone.
"Perhaps I killed them all."
His voice is emotionless as he utters this to the crackling ground. It has been long enough for him to recognize where he traveled; black broken trails document his every move, red smoldering skids of earth detailing his kills. The brightest were just days ago.
"Iaurdagnire, Iaurdagnire."
The voice was a shock, and the stags legs trembled. Somehow he recognized it, but not the word it was saying.
He hears it again, but quieter this time; it had moved.
"Iaurdagnire... That is your name, isn't it?"
He stands perfectly still, eyes wide with a mixture of terror and readiness to fight once again.
Had one of them gotten away?
"Who's there-!"
His voice is a great boom across the desolate landscape, and following his words, a series of threatening roars as he rushes in every direction, targeting the dark where he cannot see.
He stomps.
He rears.
He drags his antlers through brittle, dead trees that buckle and snap horrendously; a wolf crunching bones.
If this is my nightmare, I will be yours.
Suddenly a roar of frustration tears from his throat in the direction of an unidentified sound scaling the hill up ahead.
"My name was stolen from me, they know me as Scar-Giant."
It has my name.
I'll take it back.
I'll kill it.
"They know me as a murderer. Do you?"
Silence.
Only the rasp of his heavy breath can be heard.
... There is movement again.
The Falcon's eyes are fixated on the hill.
"Iaurdagnire, Iaurdagnire...
Do you know me?"
"No.... I know you...
N-No, it can't be...
Please...
You're my friend.... Brother...
The... The very first...
How.... H-How could I... have been so blind!
I only see you every summer... I thought you did that because it was your nick-name,
Summer-Knight.
Your very name... Your god-damn name is the Sun behind a Mountain."
"I am sorry, Dag. But finding you when we were fawns was no coincidence."
"They say destiny will tie two souls together through multiple lives. I've never been without you.
... Even in death."
"I am closer to being what you are than any of the other Seasons."
Iaurdagnire felt sick.
Stupid.
His best friend is the Summer Season Spirit, and once more, he had flaunted it throughout his entire life.
Dag never questioned where he went when summer was over.
It was clear now, painfully clear.
If Sir Summer did not come and go from the forest,
Summer would not come at all.
"... Dag, I am already in possession of your name. Those creatures were a test.
And you have quickly forgotten yourself."
A long silence passes as the tired... wounded stag digests what is standing in front of him.
Fighting back the urge to cry.
The urge to beg.
The urge give in.
"... If you die, now, we will be fawns again. My powers will return to the Gods, and we can be just as before.
You've already given up your name to me...
All I want is to be your friend, and be like you. My desperation is why I have succeeded so far."
"...I always wanted you around more... You were never there for me.
But that never stopped me from loving you like my own Brother."
Dag clenches his teeth, head rising so just the white of his eyes are visible from upon the hill.
"You are not smoke and mirrors like the others... what if you die, now, and I don't."
Summer's eyes narrow in response.
"Then you have killed a season.
I will die, and you will be free."
They had fought before.
They knew each others abilities... But that was a long time ago. They do not flinch when they lock eyes, trying to find out what the other is thinking.
It is all too easy.
They both want a life that is their own.
And in order to get it, one of them must lose the one they have now.
"Hm, that scar of yours is rather nice. Spring is ever so lazy..."
"Shut up."
Dag spat, enraged by how he could have the same attitude towards him as if they were back home laying in the sun.
He found no words to continue but a defiant battle cry...
...and a relentless charge forward to meet his friend in combat.
... Wow.

Oh dear...
Thank you so much everyone,
The writing isn't as good with this one because it was kind of... last minute, want to get it done so I can start on the next (so don't be surprised if you see this edited from time to time if I decide to pad it out!). The third part is the biggest, and will take a long time so don't expect it too soon, hehe.
Love love love your writing
oh my lord. im speechless.
And much as I expected, this
And... and... YOUR ART! *faints* I admire it so, so much. <3 Each picture seems to perfectly portray Iaudagnire. RPing with him must be terribly awesome, astonishing, and all those other words running rampant in my mind.
Aaand... I know I am kinda annoying and cheesy, but I just have to get these things off my chest. Sorry! I'll try to keep my mouth shut in the next time. <.<
