well, hello I guess

So, I've had this game on my pc for a while now and I've hopped on every now and then but I've always found it a bit hard to get on the game due to it being frustrating to connect with my wifi (at this moment with my dad playing ESO, it's near impossible).
Though, I never really had a presence in the community.
Ok well, I made a few posts but I was literally about 9 (almost 10 at that point in time) so I sounded really, really.. honestly, kinda stupid. The grammar and spelling wasn't bad, or hard to understand; it's just seeing your old self that makes you go "oh dear oh no". (I'm thirteen now, FYI) My old posts just made me sweat (in real life) so I deleted them lol

But, I noticed you all seem to have some sorta 'wordless roleplaying' kinda stuff going on, I guess from what I've read a bit like a silent movie or play maybe? I don't mind it, actually, I'm kinda interested. How does this work out for you guys? How can you tell if someone is in character and someone else is not? Is the only way to know that said deer character exists?

Also, how would you get the customizations you want? I met some other players yesterday, a fawn with a red flower crown and another adult who had the Halloween customization stuff and later another fawn (which if you saw the plain-looking deer who was an adult but a bit smaller (I think I got a spell from the 'Halloween' deer that made me a bit smaller, or I may have just been trippy cause I was sleepy and my wifi was bad.. who knows) and had the feather antlers, that was me! My pictogram looked vaguely like 2 leaves intersecting each other. I'm sorry for leaving so suddenly but I realized it was past my bedtime when I checked and I had to leave before I got in trouble) but didn't want to press them too much into customizing me, so I just played around with them with what customizations I got from them when they wanted to. Still had a fun time though. Laughing out loud

Hello! Don't worry about

Hello! Don't worry about old-posts. I cringe so much when looking at my super old account and what I posted. : D

As regards the "wordless roleplaying", are you referring to in-game or do you mean posts that you have seen on the website where people rp though drawings?
A lot of people talk over Discord I believe whilst in game, and roleplay that way. I'm old school and mostly prefer to use in-game interaction, though often there is only so much you can do when playing the game this way.

And for the customisation, other deer have to cast spells onto you in order for your appearance to change. If someone helps you out, you can get them to go through multiple spells (antlers, masks and fur pelts) until you are happy with what you have! and you can change it up whenever you like.

Hope these answer your questions. Welcome to the community!

Nice to know someone else

Nice to know someone else here shares the same feeling about old posts xD.

With "wordless roleplaying", I mean in-game, since I noticed a few posts where people had their own deer profiles and people commented things which, I think, were talking about in-game interactions--so putting those together I thought there was some kinda 'wordless' roleplay going on in the game. Though people talking through Discord while in-game makes sense.
I do play another game a lot like this where people partake in a lot of worldless roleplay in one of its servers, created specifically for the people who do the 'roleplay', so I was wondering if people did the same here.
You did answer some of my questions though.
I'm aware other people have to be there to change my appearance (actually, I find it interesting afk/sleeping people have a bit of a purpose in this game, I believe last time I played laying down with one would allow you to cast pelt magic on someone else)
I don't wanna be rude and try to 'force' people I'm playing with to change my appearance though Sticking out tongue

Hey. I think roleplaying

Hey.

I think roleplaying boils down to preference. I like to be engaged in the game, and I also like my characters to interact with others live before roleplaying, because those actions are then later up for interpretation and manifest via text. It’s just more fun for me. Smiling

Hello, Welcome to the forum

Hello,

Welcome to the forum although it's been God awful slow for a few months. The in game rp is rather silent like you say, but many times people will RP on their deers bio pages created on the forums. People may also link their emails, Skype, discord, etc. So that you can write a story and give a little more depth to the motions being portrayed in the game.
As for the customization you can get pelt magic from a sleeping deer, antler magic from pine cones which will drop from certain trees. I believe they are usually skinny and tall with leaves only at the top. Mask magic comes from eating mushrooms off of the trees, and last is the transformation magic which you can receive from falling asleep in the mushroom circles.

When customizing your deer there is a save feature at the bottom of the section where you log in. Save your look and if for some reason your deer doesnt have its look. Let's say someone spelled you while you were away, just press the load deer button.

Hope this helps a little bit and welcome again. Hope to see you in the forest. My deer are always welcoming to new friends. ^.^
