Appearance: Although middle-aged in appearance, the frequent battles and scars have given Walter a more matured look as his navy-coloured face is riddled with scars. His eyes remain blood-red in their blind hues, and his expression is always one of little care. The plain ivory mask he wears has long worn away the markings it carried and to accompany this effect, his kirin antlers are cracked in places and seem more of a burden than a crown. The rest of Walter's dark form is riddled with the same occasional green and purple streak, but the most noticeable markings are the grey patterns which indicate his many years spent wandering the Forest. His fur is long and in particular his long mane which has steadily grown over the years. It climbs up to his chin where it forms a simple, curled goatee.

The Demon Gazelle is large for any Endless Forest deer with around a foot more in height. This tall size is accompanied with a deep, snarling bellow which can easily be heard from a long distance. His musky scent is strong, perhaps overpowering as it carries earthy-smelling undertones. Upon touching the old stag, his pelt is bristled and occasionally matted; no doubt uncomfortable for those with thin fur. The same could also be said of his cloven hooves which are coal black and sharpened for deadly use.

Bio: Walter is a stag of the Endless Forest whom is, upon appearance, older than he looks. He wanders around the forest, usually alone unless he has the occasional friend or stranger accompanying him. Formally a bully; vicious and short tempered, Walter has taken to a more slow and calmer attitude. While he once held a dislike for fawns and mini-deer, his main dislike now is deer whom wear skulls, as he can never understand if their intentions are good or bad.

Walter holds a disliking for people glitching because he believes that it is unnatural and it is something he is not accustomed to. Still, Walter does air-sit and walk on water when the time calls for it, such as running over the pond for a shortcut or sitting on the Twin Gods' statue. Walter also tends to air-sit when he's sulking and not wanting to be near others.

Walter is blind (When wearing his magpie pelt set), although he has a good memory of the forest and can locate others by their scent or by coming into contact with them. He can also track magic from a distance and the auras radiated by pictograms. This also means he can tell when you've cast magic on him, and thus able to sneeze it off.

In sets, Walter usually prefers the Magpie pelt, Secretary Bird Mask and the Kirin Antlers. The mask he wears has no eye holes, so he relies upon scent, touch and sound to navigate himself around.This is not always reliable though, since many have observed him falling into the pond many times. If Walter is not in this set he will either be found in his 'young' set (Deer mask, Gazelle pelt) or dressed as Walterwoman. However, there's been a tendancy where Walter dresses in sets randomly just so he can show off his collection of pelts cast on him. He favours the Kabuki set, along with a combination of the Peacock pelt, Butterfly Mask and Fan antlers.

Despite his heartless side, Walter also has a considerate side to him. He won't tolerate seeing his friends sad, or seeing a fawn playing alone. He will even try to cast magic upon deer whom do not yet have any sets. Walter will always try to defend those close to him (He's -very- overprotective), or challenge others to back off and leave him and his friends alone. He doesn't tolerate annoyances. Fighting is natural for Walter so don't be put off if he asks to spar. Bear in mind there's a difference between sparring and actual wanting-to-eat-you, so please be observant!

However, upon recent times, Walter's alter-ego appeared within the forest. The "Walterwoman", or "Walterdoe", was created from a freak chance encounter with a hyperactive deer named Nem. The Walterwoman is a very kind soul, but also with a short temper. She also has a facination with Silence, which was sparked by yet another chance encounter in the forest.

The Walterwoman is not affected by Walter's disabilities, and is most likely to be found hopping around the place and trying to sing and dance. Unlike Walter, she has the ability to come into the Forest whenever she chooses, since the stag counterpart has no control over the change.

Truths

Walter is a Forest First. He was the first known "bully" character to appear in The Endless Forest.

Was created as an adult deer, making him older than the Birch Forest, the first Fawns and the BZD.

Protective over those he loves.

Once a powerful fighter and only claimed victory for the first few decades of his life. His first true loss in a battle was to Saosin in 2009.

Immortal. Deaths are only temporary.

Has fallen in love several times. While none of his interests have been fruitful efforts, he continued to search for his true soulmate before finding Queze. While Queze remains his partner in affairs of love, Walter will only seek out females simply for the purpose of offspring.

Has fathered both adopted and biological offspring.

Sins

Is known to attack fawns and does; has killed both in the past. The most noteable child being Hoshiko, the unborn daughter of Kaoori and Wesker.

Considered mentally unstable, due to his IED. This causes him to often attack without warning or become easily irritated.

Although Walter holds no respect for the Twin Gods after losing a battle to Auriea, Walter will still speak with the statues when he feels the need to.

Walter has been known to take advantage of females, resulting in many illegitimate offspring.

Walter cannot leave the Endless Forest. His soul is bound to it as punishment by the Twin Gods. However, upon each "death" his form returns to the earth temporarily until it is strong enough to manifest itself as a physical shell.

Miscellaneous Facts

- Walter works with Pictograms. He can sense them and their shape and often uses them as he would use scent to recognise other deer.
- Despite what his title suggests, Walter is not a demon. The name was given due to his cruel nature.
- Walter is blind and has very poor hearing. This has enhanced his sense of smell and his ability to detect other deer by their "auras" (pictogram).
- Walter is prone to getting stuck in the pit found at the Ename. His heavy antlers make it difficult for him to climb out.
- Walter's favourite time in the forest is twilight. Foggy weather is said to influence him badly.
- Walter chases after hopping frogs when noone is looking. Boing! Boing!
- Walter hates the devout pelt, but he enjoys the sound it makes.
- Walter is aged by TEF standards. (One TEF year = One IRL month!)
