(!VIOLENCE WARNING!)

The little doe sat in the shade of the biggest rock of the playground.
Her favorite place. She had no idea what she liked here so much... probably because this place gave her a feeling of safety.

She sighed, perked her ears when she heard someone approaching.
The doe turned her head, suddenly a bright smile appeared on her face.

It was her 'brother'.
...and... he was grown up again.

She jumped up to her hooves, jumped at him, as soon as he was close enough.
She nuzzled him, she laughed.

"Du.. Du bist wieder groß! Du bist wieder erwachsen...!"
('You... you are big again! You are an adult again...!')

She was still laughing and giggling like a little child.
He was just smiling...
... she didn't notice the strange look on his face.

But she noticed something else; she stopped laughing, suddenly looked confused.
She slightly tilted her head, a few streaks of her gray hair falling into her face.

"Warum... warum trägst du dein Geweih?"
('Why are you wearing your antlers?')

He usually just wore it when he wanted to fight, to spar... or to start some ruckus.
He didn't like the weight of them on his head all the time.

Jack giggled, the strange smile still on his face.

"Ah... ich... ich dachte mir... so... zur Feier des Tages, ja...?"
(''Ah...I... I thought... in honour of the occasion, yes...?')

The white stag stroked around her like a cat. Jane's face brightened up, the little girl's smile appeared again.

"Ach so, hi, hi! Die stehen dir auch irgendwie..."
('Ah, hi, hi! They fit you somehow...')

She sighed, enjoying the closeness of her 'brother'.
He seemed to be in a good mood...
... in the mood to touch without hurting...
... a rare occasion.
She closed her eyes, lent against him as he stopped by her site.

I will not lie little sister
thou shall not fall

"Du... Du... erinnerst dich doch noch an unser... Gespräch, ja...?"

('You... you still remember our... little conversation, yes...?')

Still... there was this strange tune in his voice...
... still the small doe didn't recognize.

"Hm...? Unterhaltung...?"
('Hm...? Conversation...?')

He giggled again, bent down a little, gently bit her ear.

"Du und ich..."
('You and me...')

He whispered into her ear.

"...wir verschwinden von hier."
('...we're leaving this place.')

She suddenly fell back, shook her head rapidly.
"Nein... nein, nein, nein!"
('No... no, no, no!')

Grey hair flying around her head.
She pouted.

"Ich... ich dachte... wir... du... du würdest verstehen, dass... dass..."
('I... I thought... we... you... you would understand, that... that...')

She took a deep breath, suddenly she spoke very fast.

"Ich will hier nicht weg. Das... das hier ist mein neues zu Hause... hier ist alles was ich immer wollte, du bist hier... ich... ich glaube ich habe auch schon... freunde gefunden... ich... ich bin glücklich hier. WIR sind glücklich hier, wir... wir sollten... sollten hierbleiben. Ja."

('I don't want to leave. This... this is my new home now... everything I always wished for, is here, you are here... I... I believe I even found... friends... I... I am happy here. WE are happy here, we... we should stay. Yes.')

Her ears flopped down, she was holding her breath.
Jane’s face showed it, she was afraid of her brother’s reaction after her little speech.

Maybe... maybe she said something that angered him...?
Why... why was he looking at her like that...?
Oh bad girl, she surely said something that angered him...
...she lowered her head... awaiting her punishment.

She heard him laughing gently.
... the doe looked up again.

Come come to your brother
thou shall not die

Jack was smiling, nuzzled the fur in her neck.
"Aber... Jane... mein Engel... mein liebstes... das... das hier... dieser Wald... he, he... wir... wir gehören nicht hierher... ja? Verstehst du...? Das... das ist nicht unsere welt... wir he, he... oh bitte, wir sind keine Hirsche... wir... wir gehören nicht hierher... ja?"

('But... Jane... my angel... my love... this... this here... this forest... he, he... we... we don't belong here... yes? Do you understand...? This... this is not our world... we he, he... oh please, we are no deer... we... we don't belong here... yes?')

She sighed again, a sad smile on her face.
"Aber... aber wir sind auch keine Menschen mehr. Du... du hast gehört wie sie uns nannten. Monster, Dämonen... wir... wir sollten ihre Waffen sein. Waffen... braucht... braucht man nur im Krieg, oder? Der.. der Krieg ist vorbei..."

('But... but neither are we human, You... you heard what they called us. Monsters, demons... we... we should have been their weapons. Weapons... are... just needed when there is war, right? The... the war is over...')

She pressed her face against his throat.

"Niemand braucht uns, niemand will uns. Wir... wir gehören nirgendwo hin.
Also... können wir ... auch hierbleiben."

('no one needs us, no one wants us. We... we belong nowhere.
So... we can stay here...')

Silence.
He looked down to his 'little sister'. His smile faded for a moment.
What happened to his little girl? She... she was so... mature.
This felt strange...

He shook his head... shook off the thoughts. He moved away a bit, started to grin again.
Jane remained where she was... unsure... if she had made him angry or not.
He was... unusually calm today...
... and then this strange look in his eyes...
She stared at his back, as she was trying to read his thoughts.

The white stag giggled again.
"Ja... ja... vielleicht... vielleicht... hast du recht. Wir gehören nirgendwo hin."
('Yes... yes... maybe... you are right. We don't belong nowhere.')

Unchain me sister
thou shall not fear

He turned around again, smiled.
She returned his smile... a happy feeling growing in her chest...
... was... was he finally... did... did he really want to stay now? For her?

"Trotzdem... ich... ich werde nicht hierbleiben. Niemals."
('Still... I... I won't stay here. Never.')

Her smile faded again, she opened her mouth, wanted to say something.

She had no chance to react.
He had always been faster than his sister.

The white stag lowered his antlers, immediately charged forward.
The blow threw her against the rock behind her; the doe's head hit the stone with a muffled noise.
She broke down with a sigh.

Jack attacked her like a demon...
... stomping on her small body, aiming for her head, for her neck...

His eyes wide open, his face distorted with insanity.

This.. this was the only way...

...he needed to kill her...

...to leave...

...killing his sister...

My love

...kill her and we can leave...
...kill her soldier...

His sister.
His love...

Then follow her...

MY LOVE

Die now, die little sister die...

wait.

Die little sister, come on, come on, die...

WAIT

...die...

WAIT WAIT

You shall...

STOP IT

...not die.

STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT JAKOB!!!

He screamed, shrinked back.
He stared at her...
His heart was pounding...
...her face... blood was running down her face...
... he was panting...
...his little sister...
... his face soaked with sweat...
...his angel.
... a look of terror crept into his face.

Love is with your brother
thou shall not kill

What...

...

...

What have you done?! what have you done?! What?!WHAT?!

Are... are you CRAZY YOU CAN'T KILL HER YOU CAN'T KILL HER
...that's...
...that's...

He started to flap around.

She's your sister.
Your love.
Your EVERYTHING.

She... she don't need to die never never NEVER KILL HER NEVER!

He stopped, stared at her, his eyes still wide open.

"Sie... sie wird nicht sterben, das.. das ist.. he, he, he... doch... doch nur eine Reise... sie wacht drüben wieder auf"

('She... she won't die, this... this is... he, he, he... just... just a journey... she will wake up on the other side...')

He flapped around again.
Finish her now, soldier.
NO
no..

I can't.

He looked at her again. He could see it, she was still breathing, still alive...

An insane grin appeared on his face.
He suddenly had an idea.
These.. these injuries were surely deadly.
He... hehehe... he just had to wait.

He sat down, still this grin on his face... he was unable to stop it...
... the stitches on his scars starting to cut in his flesh again...

Yes. Yes.. just.. just sit and wait. He, he...

Wait, watch.

...
...
Soldier...
... remember?

...you watched them as well.

You stood and watched them die.

You watched them die.
Your wife, your children...
... you didn't do anything, remember?

You just watched.

You watched, you didn’t do anything...
... you killed them.

No.

You killed them.

No, no...

YOU KILLED THEM!

NO!

thou shall not kill

He jumped up again, rushed towards his sister.
He licked her wounds, kissed her...
... tried to help her...

Triedt to make it undone

"Ich ... ich wollte nicht..."
('I... I didn't want...')

Jack nuzzled her, his white fur died red with her blood..

"Nicht.. nicht sterben... ich... ich..."
('Don't... don't die.... I... I...')

He whispered in between his kisses...
... he giggled a grin crept into his with panic distorted face again.

".. Ich... ich hole hilfe, ja? Medizin... einen.. einen Doc... und... und Medizin, ja? Ja? Hörst du? Ich... ich mach dich gesund... ja? Ja?"

('I'll... I'll get help, yes? Medicine... a.. a Doc and... and medicine, yes? Yes? Do you hear me...? I... I'll put you right again... yes? Yes?')

thou shall not die

He got back on his hooves, looked around...
...help... help... he needed help...

The look in his face... a mixture of panic and sheer desperation on his face...
... but still... he was grinning.

Help... medicine...

He flapped around again

Where... where... help...

Suddenly he had an idea.

A ridiculous thought.

An insane thought

Jergens. Jergens...
...Jergens had medicine... last... last time Jack met him...he did... did something with his wounds...

Jergens... bastard...
... hope... desperate hope...

Jack laughed, rushed back to his little sister...
... she was still breathing.
Good girl, good girl, go on, go on.
You are strong.
You are stronger than me

He kissed her again.
"Ich... ich hol jetzt hilfe, ja? He, he, he... warte hier, ja? Lauf... lauf nicht weg, meine liebe... ja?"
('I'll.... I'll get help now, yes? He, he, he... wait here, yes? Don't... don't run away, my love... yes?')

The white stag jumped up again, started to run...
... as fast as he could...
... faster than he ever ran before...

He needed to find that bastard.

This... this was a race...
... he was racing the death.
