SAI brush help?

I recently purchased SAI version 1 and I see people with these custom brushes and I just wonder if anyone knows where they get them? Or if anyone would like to share any they've made on their own? I have a few I've 'made' and I'm trying to get to work on my digital art, especially my backgrounds. Photoshop CS6 is my next big hurdle. ;_;

There is a way, I think you will learn a lot if you do a brush search in DA. From what I understand, many of the brushes used in GIMP and PS can be used in SAI as well. How to install them, though, I'm not sure. There might be a blog on DA that explains it too.

There's a whole bunch of brushes on deviantart!! Installing them is a bit of a pain tho, you need to copy-paste all of them into the correct folders and then add the directory to the file into this notepad thing or else they won't work

Also I have SAI2 on my Dropbox in a zip file if you'd like? Installing brushes is a lot easier (it's only drag+drop into folders, you don't have to worry about the directory thing) plus there's new tools like gaussian blur and gradients, and better ways to use brushes (like changing the brush direction/tilt)

e: brushes from photoshop can be installed too, but they need to be converted and doing that is a headache. they need to be grayscale, a certain resolution, and you need to use a specific program to convert them.

Tons of brushes on Pinterest! And you put the settings in yourself. Kinda tedious but worth it!
