Ok, this is not to offend ANYONE. But I must say that I've been a little flamed about the fact that people get upset at some little things...And not only that but some other stuff too. Like...there was someone that kept on spamming the forums. Really, it's not a big deal. Yes, it can get very annoying, but everyone should just cool it and not even make mean comments to that person. I've seen so many comments like that. No one should get so stressed out like that. I understand that some have a short temper, but...It's just not worth it.

And I'd just like to point out that there are alot of people that take the time to upload their art here, expecting some comments because they think the community would like it. But then they find: No Comments. It'd be nice to leave a little something to make the person feel proud of themselves of what they did.

And about popularity....I think some have gotten shy about commenting on something if it's not their friends' work. I know I'm always tempted to comment on something, but I always think if I should or shouldn't. Now, I'm not saying that whenever people DO comment people shun them, I'm just saying that people should be more "open" and welcoming.

*I don't want this to be an argument or debate. People have their own oppinion about the things going on here. Please respect that. Thank you. *

We have talked about this so

We have talked about this so many times... Sticking out tongue

All very good points, but

All very good points, but there is a connection between spamming and lack of comments on art that you might not have made. If somebody spams the site, that bumps down the art, meaning fewer people see it and fewer people comment on it. I still totally agree the community needs to start giving members some slack when it comes to making mistakes. Jumping down somebody's throat over them accidentally posting multiple blogs isn't very understanding...we all know how tricky this site can be, so why can't we all just relax lol?

I also, while I still respect your views entirely, do not at all understand when you say you feel people need to be more open about letting people comment on their stuff. I've never seen somebody post something and refuse people the right to respond...I guess I just don't see how anybody could feel pressured to only comment on their friends blogs. That also seems to connect to the lack of comments on things, but either way, you've given me some interesting things to ponder, thank you.

Hm...?

The shy-commenting thing is

The shy-commenting thing is sort of hard to explain. :S Tried to word it as best as I can without making a gigantic speech about it. I know people have talked about this many times, but it seems people have to keep on reading things like this to get the picture.

Again- Not trying..

to be rude
to get sympathy
to make people feel guilty
etc..

This blog is simply stating the way I feel.

It's never occurred to me

It's never occurred to me that anyone would feel more/less pressured to post a comment based on friendship status. That sounds somewhat cliquish o.O; By all means Bayleen,-and anyone else who feels this way- if you want to comment on any of my stuff, feel free Laughing out loud

As for some feeling that their beautiful pieces go unnoticed, I believe that's why M&A put in the "read" count-so you know that, even though no one may comment, you know that people are definitely looking :3 It's not on quite the same level, but if I don't get comments, watching the read count makes me feel better ^^

And of course you're right, the whole spamming event that happened not long ago could have been handled better, but we learn from past experiences, so the next time things can be taken with more grace.

Really, I know negative things hog the spotlight, but the members here are AWESOME. Every one of them. We all say things occasionally that we later come to regret, but no one is like that 100% of the time. I've never seen a newbie intro post go unwelcomed, and many, many more people are friendly than negative. Don't let countless good actions get overshadowed by the few bad ones :3

So cheer up, deer Bayleen <3

You know, I've just had an

You know, I've just had an epiphany (sorry to hog your blog-light Bayleen) this whole clique thing...I think the main reason it's still an issue is that people keep posting that they feel intimidated. Now of course I'm not saying people shouldn't post how they feel, that's a basic right! What I'm saying is I've seen way more posts about how everyone feels pressured, and hardly any posts of people pressuring people not to post on certain blogs. I'm just wondering if maybe it's because players read things about how other members of the community are self-conscious, and then they too become self-conscious about where they post? Sort of like when somebody has something in their teeth, everybody who sees them checks to make sure THEY don't have something in their teeth...bad example, but I think it gets the idea across lol.

Anybody else thing there could be something to this? or should I not post deep ramblings after my bedtime? lol xD

No, no, please do ^^ I'm

No, no, please do ^^ I'm interested in what people have to say (And in the kind way, not the blame way Sticking out tongue )

You have an interesting thought, and it could be that people don't want to feel intimidated themselves. Could be it, but not quite sure. I mean, people have different reasons, but they can share a common thought with others. Idk, I mean, personally I don't feel that certain way- but I get your drift ^^

Yeah, I guess I could also be

Yeah, I guess I could also be thinking the members of the community are more easily influence than they really are...it could be that the peaceful, artistic nature of the game genuinely does attract a more shy and self-conscious body of players. Now that I think back on it, that seems the most likely.

Yeah, it's kinda hard to be

Yeah, it's kinda hard to be angry in its' serene setting. But sometimes it does make me feel sad because it reminds me of a certain song.

Maybe some people get more annoyed on the forums because they know that no one knows them in real life and they think they can say whatever and it would be ok because there's no one around to send them to the "principal's office". But not neccesarily "getting away with anything". And plus, here I think people describe it as being a little more "free" in which I think that's true.
