PGCL 25 Synthetic Monofilament Suture
Features: Excellent holding strength. Smooth tissue passage has excellent handling, exceptional suppleness, and good knot security. Non-wicking helps prevent bacterial migration along suture line. PGCL synthetic absorbable monofilament suture meets all requirements established by the United States Pharmacopoeia (U.S.P.), except for diameter. For use with taper point needle NP-1 10.5 mm 3/8 circle. Usages: Plastic surgery Indications: PGCL synthetic absorbable monofilament sutures are indicated for use in soft tissue approximation and/or ligation. Not for use in cardiovascular or neurological surgery, microsurgery, or ophthalmic surgery. Actions: PGCL synthetic absorbable monofilament suture edicts a minimal acute inflammatory reaction in tissues, followed by gradual encapsulation of the suture by fibrous connective tissue. Progressive loss of tensile strength and eventual absorptions of PGCL synthetic absorbable monofilament suture occurs by means of hydrolysis. Tensile Strength: Implantation studies in animal indicate that PGCL suture retains approximately 70% to 80% of its original tensile strength at 7 days post implantation and approximately 40% of its original tensile strength at 14 days post implantation.

My characters actions are always in character. Their actions are her own but as their player I do take full responsibility for them. If you need to contact me on any matter please feel free to use my MSN/email:
ladysighthound (at) yahoo (dot) com
Though if you do add me, please let me know you sent an invite, as MSN can be tricky unless I send an invite in return. Plus it is nice to know who it is that is trying to add me.

PLEASE DON'T cast pelt spells on my minis, seriously, it will make me cry. I can't just sneeze it off again. It's a huge process to get my set back every time this happens, so just don't.

Oh I can't believe I found you, just like that looking through pictures. I've slept beside you on my other account for couple of days now, as well as last night, but as soon as my deer faded into the realm of sleep in the mushroom circle you wondered of. Nevertheless, totally pumped to find you! Started this little deer today, keep an eye out for me =)

And if someday you have a little time i'd be soo happy if you just made a little sketch of our deers together or something like that.
Oh and almost forgot, wanted to tell you when I saw your pictogram for the first time to make it easier to remeber i called it " HousePop" haha kind of like a House on a lollipop stick ^_^

Thanks Uruushou! I really

Thanks Uruushou! I really wanted to make something with more flash but I swear this blog is cursed or something. First the edit button disappeared for several days, and now I can’t get div boxes or CSS to work in it. Blah. CSS hates me. One of these days I’ll get really ambitious and just make a new one. LOL.

Uruushou's picture

Oh noes! D: Hm...it could be

Oh noes! D: Hm...it could be because of the changes M&A are making for the site due to that troll making a white-out code. Don't worry, I'm sure it's not you at all, but CSS can indeed be very frustrating. Hopefully the site will be back to normal soon! :<
Sighthoundlady's picture

Yeah, I think it might be

Yeah, I think it might be some glitches from when M&A made changes on the site...I'll give it some time to see if it can get straightened out. If not, I'll make a new one as I haven't had any problem with CSS in Woden's or Herla's blogs.
Uruushou's picture

Actually, it's odd that

Actually, it's odd that you're having trouble with CSS in a new blog because I haven't had any trouble with the updates blog that I just made. I haven't tried scrollboxes, so I am not sure if those would work, but still...very odd. :<
Sighthoundlady's picture

This is an old blog actually,

This is an old blog actually, made it when I first joined the community site...I wonder if that is why it's so glitchy.
Uruushou's picture

Hm, okay, that is weird. I

Hm, okay, that is weird. I suppose what you could do is copy the code, make a new blog and paste the code in, and test the CSS there. It can be a temp blog that you can delete later, or if the CSS works on it then you could temporarily use the blog until you get this one fixed. Smiling
Sighthoundlady's picture

Added a Personal Updates

Added a Personal Updates section to this that I'll try to keep current. So you all can be updated on my glamorous life, that is oh so glamorous and exciting.

Sorry I had to bail on everybody right in the middle of a nice juicy dramatic moment, last night. Stupid dizzyness! Thanks again for all the wonderful company.

I am greatly enjoying MSN, though it does tend to aggravate my headaches so please don't be offended if I need to back out of chats when I get overwhelmed. Headaches are one of the reasons I've avoided instant messengers in the past, but I love having the chance to talk with everyone so I'll suffer through.

I accept ALL invites from TEF peoples so please feel free to add me, I won't bite!

I have been ridiculously

I have been ridiculously dizzy and nauseous for several days now. I’ve barely been able to eat at all, the thought is repugnant. Last night it was so bad I had to crawl up the stairs on my hands and knees so I didn’t fall. And all night, everything was spinning around me.

Well apparently I have “benign paroxysmal positional vertigo” or BPPV, which in many cases is chronic and life long. I’ve had episodes before.

So yay, for chronic, debilitating conditions, that can never be completely resolved and will come back again and again to eff up your life. Yippee, skippy. Fan-flippin-tastic. >.<

Maybe I’ll loose some weight though? That would be a plus. Instant crash diet. I truly have no desire to eat anything at all.

Here’s the Mayo Clinic’s Article on the condition:

Oh my gosh...I am so very sorry to hear about your condition, Lady; that is awful! I do hope that you have medication to help curb the symptoms? In any case, do not worry about MSN; please take breaks as you see fit. I do hope you'll feel better soon! Sad
Sighthoundlady's picture

Thank you. There really is

Thank you. There really is no cure, the "Epley maneuver" is physical therapy procedure that can be done to help manage symptoms. Fortunately my husband can do it for me at home since he is a chiropractor. So I don't always have to go to the hospital. But it’s annoying how they show it being magically corrected on medical dramas, like it just goes away and everything is perfect. I wish!

I’ll be on MSN as I can. Definitely will be times I will have to bale though.
Uruushou's picture

That is terrible... But, it

That is terrible... But, it is wonderful that your husband can help. Ugh I know, those shows are so obnoxious in that regard. If only any major medical problem would be solved in an hour... Just please don't feel that you need to stay on MSN when you're not feeling well. =/

We are having construction done on our bathroom. Last night, I got up in my dizziness to use it. Not pretty. Not pretty at all. Then I had a crazy dream that I was in love with Wilson from “House M.D.” I can honestly say I have never fan-girled him before so I have no idea where that one came from. Then I dreamt I was swimming down the Mississippi River trying to get to New Orleans. Yeah, brain. You are weird. At least these bizarre dreams mean I was actually sleeping. Which I needed. So yay for that!

Last night I dreamt my brothers where small children again and not grown men. They were vying for my attention and love like they used too before we all grew up. I wept with joy, and cried even more in sadness when I woke up from the dream. Things will never be like that again. We are forever separated now by time, circumstance and distance. And I will always grieve for times that are lost. Heaven for me will be that place were all my loved ones will once again be reconciled and together in peace.

Morning thus far: up at 4AM

Morning thus far: up at 4AM to take more pain pills for my neck. Think how nice it will be to take a nice long hot shower...2 minutes into the shower, I've got my hair all lathered up...and the water turns ice cold. My hot shower is no more. Sorry neck.

Get to work. First up? A euthanasia. And if that's not bad enough, the syringe malfunctions and both me and my assistant get a face full of euthanasia solution. It goes in our eyes and mouth. Frantic decontamination ensues.

Proceed with surgery. THAT goes smoothly.

Now taking a break on a heating pad. It's going to be a long day!

I wanted to be a vet. But I

I wanted to be a vet. But I could never pass science and math. I had a horrible time with math. And I could never do euthanasia. I've been able to be at my pet's side when the vet has euthanized them, but.. I don't think I could do it.

I admire you for being able to do all of the things you do. Smiling
Sighthoundlady's picture

Aww, thanks Kaoori. Math was

Aww, thanks Kaoori.

Math was always a struggle for me as well when in school, and it tends to be something that holds alot of people back. My advice to young people is to work hard on the math, make it your job to beat it. So it doesn't beat you. Fortunatly science was something I enjoyed at least.

I've been working in this profession since I was 18 years old (I'm 34 now), and always knew it was what I was going to do. What ever I had to do to make it happen I did. There were lots of struggles.

Alot of people think that Euthanasia must be the hardest part of the job. I don't think of it that way, it's a chance for me help people in their time of need and relieve the suffering of an animal so they don't have to have pain anymore.

Truly the most difficult part of the job when it's all said and done is dealing with people. My entire day is talking with people, every animal has a human attached to it. That's the person you have to go through in order to accomplish anything with the pet. It's about educationing and being an advocate for the needs of the pet. I deal all day with people who are upset and angry over things like money, unfortunatly everything has a cost and that's what gives me a headache at the end of the day.
