PW's Rutting Deer 2011 {Recycled Blog from last year}

This blog is recycled from the 2010 Rut Event.

These are my characters that will be participating in The Rut this year of 2011.

All my other deer listed on my deer list can also be treated as Involved non-participants! That means even though they are not listed for The Rut you may treat them however you see fit. Fight them, herd them, whatever. ^_^ Those listed here and in The Rut blog are simply those I am likely to play most during the event.

The points above are just for my own amusement
and are not really considered a contest and are not really concrete. : )

-_-A bit about Zan’s participation-_-

Though Zanny was briefly involved with last year's rut technically this will be the first he will be active in. Last year he was prematurely rendered unable to fully attend because of an unexpected unrelated event resulting in serious injury.

This year Zanny will be more able to spar other stags/bucks. However he may be more cautious in who he engages. Since he is still young and still very inexperienced he is still ranked as a 'buck' and less likely to win head to head fights with older or more experienced stags.
Zanny is more likely to have brief scuffles with other stags to test their strength before bolting. As well as use tricks to get near to or lure the does away. (Success in luring a doe away or other such cases may be placed as an 'outwit' point.)

I am still not sure if I want Zanny to sire any fawns at this stage in his life. But if you are interested in him siring a fawn please do feel free to let me know. I may add an e-mail address later if you'd rather contact me privately.

The deer below are not considered as potential partners in the slightest. He still has a sense of protectiveness around them and may try to chase off other males while the rut is going on. But even though they are not blood related Zan's feelings towards them are strictly platonic.

What is discussed about Silver here. The way Silver acts during the rut. Possibly free to mother a fawn.

Fawning/Mothering
I am not actively looking to have Silverdreaming fawn this year. However if you would like a fawn out of her you are welcome to make a request. Whether you simply want a new fawn character or you want your stag to have a fawn.
If your stag will be siring I simply ask that you have a reliable player for that fawn lined up. Also understand that if your deer is skull faced or she had seen him wearing a skull mask she is a less likely willing mother. Keep that in mind.
If you simply want to have a new fawn character it's father will probably be her final main interest at the end of the rut (if the stag's player is willing).
I ask that if you want Silver to mother to contact me by the e-mail provided once I add it to this blog. So we can discuss any details needing worked out. Thank you. : -)

Silver’s Behavior

- Silverdreaming is still a doe who came form the 'real world' of deer into The Endless Forest. She will act as close as I can get her to act as a real doe would during the rut. She will be attracted to the calls of stags/bucks participating in the rut. She will be interested in the sound of stags fighting.

- If she is not inspecting a new stag she is most likely going to 'herd' with other does. Meaning if there are two or more does just 'hanging out' she is likely to approach them and stay near them. She is likely to go to a "Lead Doe" before any other.

- She does not understand a lot of the "language" that is familiar to TEF deer. Such as bowing in greeting or pawing the ground to tell someone to follow.

- She will move away from fighting stags to watch from a safe distance. In the "real world" herd she has seen does killed who were between two overly eager stags. The more aggressive they are in fighting close or nearly atop her the farther from the stags and the herd she will get.

- She will keep a certain distance from stags with the Skull Mask out of fear. This does not mean the stag can't herd her but it will be a lot more difficult. If a Skull Masked rival stag gets near a herd that is grouped close together she may stay with the herd. However if the herd is spread out she may leave the herd to find a safer place.

- She will not join a herd with a doe wearing the Skull Mask. She will leave a herd if a doe with the Skull Mask joins the herd. Of course the stag may attempt to keep her with the herd.

- She will allow a stag to herd her back into a herd or away from a herd but that does not mean she wont sneak away at some point.

- Silver will submit to dominance displays from other herding does. When submitting she will cower and nuzzle the other doe.

Mood: Indignant. Fuming. Insulted. Violated?
(After waking up to a big stag sitting atop of Nejime. Obviously they were sitting there before Nejime appeared into the forest but Nejime still feels wronged. Especially since the strange deer having not noticed. Heh. Told the same strange stag off after it dared touch Nejime's face and mask when Nejime drifted into a nap..)

Energy: 100%

Scent: Nejime smells more strongly of a rutting doe. Nejime's musk is very faint but it is still there for attentive noses to notice.

If for whatever reason a player feels uncomfortable having him around you are welcome to make a request that he not appear near your deer.

-_-A bit about Nejime's participation-_-

Nejime will feel the pull of the rut season though they are purely an "Endless Forest" deer. Nejime will not attempt to fight stags nor bucks. However, Nejime can be herded and can be chased away. Nejime will take interest in both the fighting stags and the rut does. This can be both an advantage and disadvantage to any stags interested in Nejime.

Because of Nejime's personality they are unlikely to stroll up to a herd or group by themself. If Nejime finds a herd or two fighting stags interesting they will watch from a safe distance. At this point stags are welcome to try and herd Nejime into their harem or does are welcome to greet Nejime. Or chase them away. Nejime might try to approach a lone doe or a doe who has wandered far enough away from her current herd but Nejime is likely to act either timid or completely stoic when doing so.

Once accepted into a herd Nejime is unlikely to leave the herd unless the herd disperses or Nejime is herded away by another deer.
When in a herd Nejime is unlikely to sit very close to the other deer. However, Nejime wont move if a deer ends up sitting close to them on their own. If groomed Nejime may return the favor but will not randomly attempt to groom another deer.
While in a herd Nejime may attempt to flirt. Such behavior however will often be accompanied by cowering in an expression of timidity and uncertainty on their own ability to do so correctly.

Nejime is fertile both ways as a deer. (Though Nejime's human half is completely sterile.) Though I do not plan on Nejime fawning or siring fawns anytime soon anyone interested are welcome to make a request. I might change my mind.

(Woke up to "The Collector" sitting in one of Nejime's usual sleeping spots. Which meant he was practically atop of them. Nejime freaked and bolted. Atempted to shake it off and dignantly walk to another flower spot to rest. Drifted off to sleep. Was rudely awaken by "The Collector" attempting to take Nejime's mask. Told him what for. Saw he was trying to go back to the flower patch that Nejime favors after the fact. Ran over and stood in the spot and told him that since he was such a rude right bastard that Nejime was taking it over. After drifting off again The Collector came back for a second try. Nejime, of course, was not pleased. "How dare you?! Rude! Ugly thing! What is your problem?!")
