Fair enough, although he likely felt more annoyed than just now being treated like shit to level this equality. "Cool", he said kind of mindlessly. "So can we be friends again or at the very least avoid one another?", because he certainly didn't care much for annoying interruptions.
The ebony wolf shrugged. "I won't cause crap unless you do so first. I can't avoid you all the time either since we share friends." Not a direct reply to what the stag asked but quite frankly he didn't care if they tried to avoid each other or made up.
The stag seemed to lower his guard at the others response. "Look man, I didn't ever mean to treat your kid like crap, promise", he said earnestly. Since things didn't seem to be going entirely downhill or taking a nasty turn, took the opportunity to explain. "Things have been kind of hectic and I wasn't thinking. I wouldn't have ever intentionally went out of my way to treat your kid like that". Not that his explanation made it any less of an excuse, it was all he could offer. "It won't ever happen again, swear to it"... and now he just felt silly, being so open and even offering an explanation as well, basically a promise. It would be a pointless effort, he was sure of it, and it left a bitter taste in his mouth. So he would leave it at that, shrug, and be on his way should the other too leave it at that.
The wolf only stared as the Craftsman spoke. It was hard to tell if he was being honest. Then again he was an old friend. As long as he stayed away from his son then he would be quite happy. "Then I won't cause you anymore trouble." He said as he turned and walked away.
"Big man! Big man no hurt? he like big man yes." Big milky eyes, miniature body, excitement clear as he wiggled to keep between them and away from the rain, fond of both feline and canine.
Contrasting eyes gaze down at the fawn as it speaks. Truthfully he wasn't too happy about the it using himself and his sister for shelter, but decided not to bother moving. His mouth curves up to show a slight smile, it was all he could offer right now. It fades though as he looks back up into the distance. Normally the wolf would reply more cheerfully, but for now he remains silent while deep in thought, trying to come to terms with the loss of a close family member.
(Sorry for the pathetic reply. He's not going through the best of times right now ;;)
Awwww Dampir that looks awesome. I absolutely love that face. Gosh I wish I could draw a pawpad like you. Looks so real. The paws are so well done. I find them so hard to do but these look perfect. Wanna squeeze his tail too ;;
