Sketching

There are pieces I have to do in this style, so I open Al.chemy again to warm up.

A random feathered doe.

Tall Cro. Shoulda added a deer for scale.

Water and movement. Two things I'll always enjoy drawing. And never learn.
Starring The Tim.

Tauromachia: Dodge.
Featuring Lupen, Lem's horn and a dust cloud as negative space.

Menace
Took some artistic liberty, as usual.

Another study of the phonograph deer, another type of design, more elements of an automaton showing.
Wanted to check how it looks in my favorite abstract style.

A fan art/initial study sketch of HeartClock's phonograph deer.
Gave it a leaf for an ear. And went hard 60s on the horn design, I'll need to chill with that.
Todo: next time draw it from the inside-out; fullbody outline.

Loving the phonograph horn!

Loving the phonograph horn! also the shiny eye, such a candy.

I really love your lines!

I really love your lines! Lots of movements and super energetic. All your drawings give such a jazzy vibe (especially with the phonograph lol) Smiling

That second drawing looks

That second drawing looks good too! Kinda gives off steampunk vibes~ (then again, I guess my phonograph deer could fit in a steampunk world, lol).

Looks cool! The upper drawing

Looks cool! The upper drawing makes me think that the Tin Deer pelt would suit it best.

Hautakumpu, It was my first

Hautakumpu,
It was my first detailed sketch of one, too. Thank you. For the eye I wanted something artificial yet not uncanny-looking. Glad this one works.

HeartClock,
There's something hopeful about those sprouts.
Maybe the magics of the forest at work? A side-effect from abiogenesis? Hmm.

"Kinda gives off steampunk vibes~ (then again, I guess my phonograph deer could fit in a steampunk world, lol)"
Haha, think I can see why. And I had the same thought when I danced to its music on the bridge. Ol' timey and respectable.
I'll keep going through designs until I get one that fits the text description best. It's interesting to do.

fleshghost,
Thank you, this is great to hear after a long break, and now finally finding art enjoyable again. And yeah, I happen to admire improv-structured music, must have sth to do with it.

Ravyn,
I favored texture over cohesion here, and it shows. But ty.

Urschanabi,
Thank you, friend. I've always liked that set, that probably had some influence.
