Help Australia -

hay! so I don't normally post blogs here (and please forgive me if one like this already exists and I've just missed it!) but in light of the wildfire crisis that has been ongoing in Australia, I just wanted to create a place where I could link some charities (and anything else that could be useful) in hopes that it may help to give aid to the people and wildlife who are suffering terribly there. I encourage anyone to post anything in the comments that could offer any kind of support, especially to anyone on this community who might be living in Australia.

Millions of acres are raging with fires, people have lost their lives, homes are continually being destroyed, half a billion animals have been killed with species being pushed to extinction. Please consider donating, even if you can only afford to give a little - right now the people and wildlife are in critical need of any help they can get and even just spreading the message to others can make such a great impact.

Thank you so much for reading. ♥

Australian Red Cross (how your donation helps)- 'The Australian Red Cross is a humanitarian aid and community services charity in Australia and an auxiliary to government.'
* Information & help is available for those affected by the bushfires in VIC, NSW, WA and SA by registering to let people know that you are okay, and by finding family and friends who have also registered.

WIRES (and a facebook donation page for them) - 'WIRES Wildlife Rescue (NSW Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service) is the largest wildlife rescue and rehabilitation charity in Australia. It is a non-profit organisation providing rescue and rehabilitation for all native Australian fauna. All animal rescuers and carers are volunteers.'

Fundraiser for 'The Trustee for NSW Rural Fire Service & Brigades Donations Fund' on Facebook

The Port Macquarie Koala Hospital gofundme (the hospital's website) - 'The Koala Hospital is a licenced Wildlife Rehabilitation Facility carrying out on-site procedures. All procedures and treatments are done at the Koala Hospital except for major surgeries and X rays which are undertaken at the Port Macquarie Veterinary Hospital. Being a research/study centre it not only has a strong affiliation with University Sydney, University Technology Queensland and the Australian Museum, but also networks with many institutions, zoos, wildlife researchers, wildlife veterinarians and numerous wildlife rehabilitation groups worldwide.'
