This has vague undertones of being written from the point of view of a character that I haven't introduced yet.
---------------------------------------------------
Don't drink the water if it's not from my stream
It's not the same if it ain't flowed through me
People are strangers and lie to their priests
Everything changes and men turn to beasts
You were a pauper and I was your king
Down on one knee you begged for suffering
Where did you come from and what did you take?
I tried to tell them they'd die in your wake
Don't drink the water, it twists and it swirls
Messy young boys and their ugly young girls
Priests have the power to torture all day
They paint holy pictures, they force you to pray
Listen to God, he'll forgive all your sins
Knows where you'll go and he knows where you've been
No use in lying he'll know in the end
Drinking my water won't help you pretend
Don't drink the water, it's poison and filth
Give me a whiskey and a license to kill
I'll clean this town of your sins and your fears
Here comes the end now so cover your ears
bump ;;"
I really, really love this.
You write the best rhymes; they always sound so smooth and natural.
