Pelt question

Has anyone figured out how to keep the devout pelt in 3.4? Or do I have to download an earlier version to keep it?

Interesting behavior

There's really not much point to this, except to share something I saw today about deer behavior... I was walking in the woods, and eventually stumbled on a doe and her babies. They all sprang up when I walked past and ran away, but after she got a few yards away, the mother turned around to face me and pretty much stared me down while raising one of her front legs and stomping it on the ground. I definitely got the message, hehe. "Get away or I'm gonna stomp the hell out of you." I just thought that was odd, I'd never seen something like that before. It was incredibly threatening, really, which throws you for a loop when you think of an animal like that as generally timid. Anyone else seen something like this? Also thought this would be interesting to share for character-behavior purposes, for anyone with female deer, particularly with fawns.

Raptor photos

I recently went to the aviary in my city, and was surprised to see a lot of new stuff since the last time I'd been there, including a free-flight raptor show on the roof, which of course I had to see Laughing out loud I just feel like sharing the photos and videos, they really are interesting, and since a few people have bird characters I figure its not completely off-topic, hehe xD Photos and video below the cut:

Starfire(Quad's writing challenge)

Written for the "Imaginary friend" challenge!
___________________________________________________

I rode that horse for miles in my sleep.

That massive black stallion was quick as the wind, and when those great raven's wings at his sides rose up, he tested the gods with his speed. It was all I could do to hold on.

He galloped through lands never seen before by mere human eyes, and took to the skies to see above the clouds, straddling worlds as he tumbled and rolled in the air and then came plummeting back to the earth, forming whirlwinds in his wake. His wild red eyes chased away ghosts and tamed the wildest of monsters into submission. He was gentle to the kind and pure of heart, though; he was no cruel beast, but rather a defender, and a friend loyal to the death. Freed from the plastic that encased his spirit, he was no longer a frail, hollow shell. His breath was fire, and his laughter was like thunder. And he was mine, though I was nothing so grand as an owner or a rider; I was a witness.

I think I went a bit wild dramatizing this... tell me what you think. xD
It *was* inspired by my imaginary adventures with a black, winged horse I named Starfire when I was about 6. All of this actually started with a toy of mine, a plastic black horse with red eyes. And I saw a book about a horse called Starfire, and it just seemed to fit, so that was his name. He was the biggest horse ever, with giant black wings, and he became mine, so he let me ride him and join him on adventures all over the world. I remember making up a bunch of other pegasi(? Is there a plural for pegasus?) of all sorts of colors, but he was the one I 'played' with the most, or had interacting with the others rather than giving them major roles in my stories. He was just the coolest one to me xD

Deer photos and others from the zoo(image-heavy)

A couple friends and I spent the weekend together before everyone scattered again to head back to college, and yesterday we went to the zoo to kill some time before fireworks x) Typically the animals are all hiding in the shade at some far corner of their enclosures, especially in heat like yesterday's, but maybe due to the clouds and just the general lack of people there at the time, quite a few were out and about and I got a lot of great photos. Thought I'd share 'em Smiling (photos below the cut)

Hellooooo

Hi again from Zyzzy Smiling

I'm back from a lengthy break, partly due to being busy, mostly due to evil internet problems, meh! I've barely been able to get online at all since April. All that's finally been sorted... it'll be fun to finally be back in the forest. I wasn't the most active person in the forum, and I didn't get to know too many people very well before, but I'd like to change that... I should be in-game a lot more now, and I'd love to roleplay in-forum with anyone interested, as a way to get to know other characters and build relationships... I might make an RP page in a little bit, or a quick bio page.

And I'll leave some contact info, if anyone wants to chat off the forums... I'm on skype(not fond of the webcam dealy, but I IM people from it), and email is still my favorite way of talkin' to people, because I'm crotchety and don't want to get with the times and use this newfangled instant messagin' machine here xP

Skype: loo.lee.loo
Email: zyzzyvolution@gmail.com Just let me know who you are on either, so I don't ignore/delete you!

Photo a day(today: Penn Station dome)

I made a photo/art blog-thing earlier today, in hopes it would help me improve my skills and get me back into hobbies I used to enjoy. I put up a picture I drew... and then deleted the post less than 20 minutes later. I really don't know why. But, that was a coward move, so screw that- its back! xD just as a photo log now. I'm gonna put something in this damn thing every day, no matter how its recieved or how good/bad the content is. WOOHOO BLAZING SELF-CONFIDENCE! xD I'll post at least one new picture in the comments every day, and probably change the post-title to match it, because I'm insane.

Today: Driving around, I saw a cemetary I'd never seen before... it was a cemetary for an old Russian Orthodox church that changed location a long time ago. Some of the stones weren't even readable they were so old... many were dated in the 18-19th century. It was oddly calming walking around there, and I actually had my camera with me, so I decided to take a few pictures as I walked around, the song posted below looping in my head... very fitting x) Photos under cut:

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

Idea shamelessly nicked(with permission) from gurgelin, whose post from yesterday was the inspiration for my own.

I've found myself trapped in a cycle I'd rather not be in... even though I've been in it for years. I try, halfheartedly, to change my habits and behavior and make goals and keep them... and I always give up after a few days, or find some excuse to stop. I'm clearly not a very motivated person, and that in itself needs to change xD This is a good way of keeping my goals in order, and of keeping them with me instead of just letting them float in and then back out of my brain before I can be bothered to latch on and actually do something. I'd like to finally grow, become something different and better than the person I've been for roughly the past 6 years. xD I've never made anything like this public, and maybe it'll help- Being readable for people who might relate and comment, join in, etc etc. Who knows? Worth a shot anyway.
