-Atti-

'Mm, well... Maybe all I want is the stripes on your back... How would you know?'

Atti, 'okapi', the rook.

An ancient deity.
Cursed and stripped of his stripes.

Deceiving...
Obsessive...
Wanderer...

Overall creepy as fuck, really.
Not that that's all there is to him.
Or maybe it is.

Flash of silver through the

Flash of silver through the dense vegetation. The sound of hooves crashing through ivy, a doe emerging and eyeing the strange bull curiously. Emerald eyes light as she smiles and half-bows -- a curtsy to the stranger.

"Why hello there. Never seen you before. Who might you be?" She asks, her voice soft but dashed with a slight Russian accent.

He was closer, she could smell him. He was a stranger, new. Like her. When she came into veiw of him, she bowed slightly; black eyes examining the bull quickly.
"You're new here...I am Ellowyn, welcome." The doe slightly smiles, a mere twitch to the side of her lips.

Ryff - Having already noticed

Ryff - Having already noticed her approach, the okapi stood with his side facing the hind and licking his dark lips nervously, an unconscious gesture. It was not every day someone dared to approach him, much less a young female. With his head held low in a submissive gesture, he spoke carefully but politely. "Hello. I wish I could tell you, but my namn cannot be spoken."

Day - He smelled of blueberries and damp earth. The doe seemed to examine him just as much as he did her, and it made him feel self conscious. His voice was gentle, like silk. "Ellowyn... Thank you." In fear of sounding rude, he didn't point out her misobservation. He'd actually been here for quite a while, this was just the first time they had met.

Ryff simply nodded. "Ah, I

Ryff simply nodded. "Ah, I see." She smiled, her head almost as low, for she was by no means the dominant one. "Well, my name is Ryff." Her tone was soft and gentle, trying to be respectful to the bull.

Ryff - He looked shyly into

Ryff - He looked shyly into her eyes from beneath his thick, black eyelashes. "Pleasure to meet you, Ryff..." His voice was like silk, a stone polished from eons of waves. He took a step closer and leaned forward, reaching the side of her throat and almost touching her jawbone with his nose. He pulled in her scent, it was sweet and pleasant.

/Ooc. I apologize for the late reply, hope we can still continue on this.

'Glad you returned from the

'Glad you returned from the shadows after all,' followed the drawn-out deer hug as Lem looked into
Okapi's face.
He didn't bother to exaggerate his facial expressions, since the cordial greeting had already been performed, the mute sentence was a casual addition.

His own was bearing a streak of ease across the seemingly tired gaze.

'It's been a while.'

Starling - Makes me happy to

Starling - Makes me happy to hear, also that someone actually reads this. ♥
Uitleger - A hidden blush. "Did you miss me?" Lashes fluttering like butterfly wings, he uttered the words carefully. His head and horns were lowered, forced down by close contact alone. He didn't mind, it felt safe. His lips were slightly parted, occasionally he'd bite the lower.

She smiled and swivelled her

She smiled and swivelled her round, black-tipped ears forward with his step. Curious of his next action. Reflexively, the flesh on her neck trembled where his nose brushed her fur. The slate grey doe curled her neck about and drew in his scent as well, rich and earthy and just as pleasant as he thought hers was. She took the chance to look over the okapi, noting that he only had a single stripe upon his dark, sleek hide.

//That's perfectly fine. :>

Lem didn't expect his

Lem didn't expect his 'speech' could be discerned from his lips so easily. A question's asked to get an answer, though.
Reads well? Must be of the talkative sort
, Lem stored away the first piece of observation while he was still glancing through Okapi's face.
He noted the buck's timbre and feminine mannerisms but didn't give that another thought.

'No. I've been wondering where you went.'
His attention was involuntarily drawn to the way the words were expressed. The inquisitiveness in the gaze faded for a moment.

Ryff - The one striped okapi

Ryff - The one striped okapi remained in that position slightly longer than what would be considered polite, gently caressing the side of her neck with his cheek. During the time he had spent in solitude, he had never learned how to properly express himself. He grew increasingly curious, took a step back to scan her small frame further. He held his defined head higher and large ears erect. The lonely stag craved any form of contact, so he didn't release her from his golden gaze. "Stay?" The tone of his voice was lower than before, more demanding.

Uitleger - The okapi's amber eyes revealed a glint of sorrow upon reading the deer's silent sentence. Rather than talkative, he was silent and observant, so he had no problem communicating with the other stag. His eyebrows furrowed and he looked down, attempting to hide his hurt. He felt shameful, worthless for deceiving himself, for thinking that he had mattered. His dark, delicate lips didn't utter another word, instead the deep mahogany stag remained silent at the mute's side, willing to go along with whatever his company wanted.

/Ooc. These rp's really helps me figure out this character further, thank you both.

Silence. She didn't mind his

Silence. She didn't mind his lingering, though it was unusual; she was a tolerant doe. Small of stature and heavily scarred along her torso, she was, something he was guaranteed to notice. She watched him, ivy green eyes kept off of him and merely seeing him in her peripheral vision as she instead stared at a leaf upon the ground, a submissive gesture as she had been taught that direct eye contact with a male aquaitance was rude. Her ear flicked upwards as he spoke, and Ryff looked up with a nod. "Yes." Her voice still as it was before, polite and gentle. A smile formed on her thin lips.

This is one of those profiles that I meant to track a while ago. I really like this character.

The stag leaned back. His

The stag leaned back. His eyes shifted for a brief [as though trying to spot something behind his shoulder], while he was wondering,
the cause?
He overlooked the odd contradiction of his statement, decided to place emphasis on the other gesture, whether it was the meaning or the expression of the words misunderstood.
His front leg made a rustle in the coarse grass, calling for the okapi's attention.

[[Same here, same here.

Ryff - His rich gold, rimmed

Ryff - His rich gold, rimmed with thick black lashes, never left her mesmerizing green. He positioned his face close in front of hers in an attempt to preserve the eye contact. An amateur acting dominant risked disastrous results, you never know where it could lead. Her damaged azure hide had indeed not escaped him. He lowered his head closer to her neck, then gently started stroking along one of the scars with the tip of his extendedly long tongue. It tasted like salt. "Who hurt you?"
Scythe - Thanks. Glad you like him, also thankful for the character interaction.. I have another idea that I'd like to discuss with you.
Uitleger - The okapi's breathing got heavier, air filled lungs stretched the skin which clung to the visible contours of his ribs. "Then why are you here?" The okapi leaned closer to the stag out of desperate neediness, pressing his side against him while squeezing his eyes shut. Imagining the worst yet trying to conceal truth in fear of being right.

A bit edgy now, she pulled her face slightly back from his, though she kept the eye contact. It was rather hard to look away. Before she had a chance to ask what he was doing, the okapi was at her neck. Her ears lay back as his tongue ran over the ragged greyish pink flesh that had once been a gaping wound. "I don't remember who he was..." A memory of an unfair battle stung her mind. "He came after me when I tried to get him away from my friend."

Ryff - Already picking up on

Ryff - Already picking up on her discomfort, he retrieved his tongue and backed off a step, although a part of him desperately wanted to keep touching her. He let his gaze wander, avoiding hers. "I... I'm sorry." The sharp horns upon his head would not stand a chance against the average stag's multiple tined, it pained him to think that he'd be useless in defense. "Will he return?" Concerned, he took another step closer.

She was silent for a moment,

She was silent for a moment, disliking the tangible awkwardness in the air. Shaking it off, she replied simply, "No. He's since been..." She looked over to the stag with a small headbob, implying that through a team effort the stag that fought for her and Ryff herself had little choice but to dispatch the menace after a few days of attacks on others and themselves. The doe's hackles bristled slightly at the memory. "I have my friend to thank. If not for him I wouldn't be standing here now."

Lem's breathing pattern

Lem's breathing pattern remained stable. He sustained a pause.
Partly for the okapi, mostly for himself.
He was well aware of his own temper.

Several words were announced close by the side of the forehead.

Unplugged - I'd be honored...

Unplugged - I'd be honored... It's strange, because there are so many things I do differently with this character compared to S. Like escaping rules made for my own comfort, break the boundaries with both my art and writing, etc. Maybe it's what having a character is like, detaching yourself from your own sense of perfection. I feel like part of this doesn't represent me, gives others the wrong idea so idk if I should be pleased with it. Sorry for rambling, just needed to get this out, and you're always interesting to talk to.
Ryff - "I see..." The corner of his mouth pulled down slightly, his eyes looking more lonely than before. "Glad you have someone." His envy only vaguely concealed by concern. The okapi met her eyes once before he turned around and walked a few steps, unsure of what to do. Beneath the base of his tail along his coffee colored hide, another smaller white line could be seen.

Uitleger - When nothing could he heard or seen the okapi relaxed. His heavy ears hung down at the sides if his head, an effect from growing tired of the emotional stress and tense muscles. He'd rather delude himself with lies than face the brutal truth, so he lowered his head to rest in the lush grass. "Love you, Lem." He whispered. Unrequited or not.

Her head tilted slightly,

Her head tilted slightly, sensing a bit of tension. "What do you mean?" She asked, taking several steps after him. "Ehm, what do you mean by 'someone,' that is." She noticed the new stripe of course, which made her tilt her head again. That hadn't been there before...had it?

'Old news.' He didn't react

'Old news.'
He didn't react to the name and didn't recall any of the previous times it was pronounced, as well.

The matter could become a good exercise for the mind, after the long months of feral living.

But then, the conversation gone personal didn't hold any of his concern.
Fish broke the ceiling of the water in occasional splashes. Lem was watching the pond, conjuring up ideas for catching several, at least.

[[The subjective will interpret in their own way, the objective will juxtapose and see, should they have motivation for doing so. I think that a public image is heavily chance-based.
And here I apologize for butting in.

Ryff - He turned his head

Ryff - He turned his head around to look at her again. His eyes no longer displayed sadness for himself, but for her. "Not everyone has someone, anyone." His gaze gets drawn to the earth in the space between them. "You must not know how lucky you are."

Uitleger - He observed the stag from the corner of his eye, who seemed distant looking out over the pond's glass smooth surface. Hesitantly, the okapi moved his head towards his friend's. So gently, he nudged the base of his cheek with his nose, trailing along his jawline. Purely innocent affection, yet wondering if everything was the way it should be.

/Ooc. I appreciate your input, no need to apologize.

The metallic blue hind inched

The metallic blue hind inched a half-step closer. She tried to look him in the eye, her expression curious but concerned. It seemed that she couldn't quite understand. "You have nobody?" Ryff asked, though it sounded more like a solemn statement. "Well, I suppose I am lucky. But nobody deserves to be all alone, friend. I won't allow that," declared the doe.

The stag drew his head aside

The stag drew his head aside in an arc, giving a disapproving glance to half of the forest.

I made you something.

Ryff - The stag suddenly

Ryff - The stag suddenly pulled closer, beyond what was considered personal space. He was wanted, for real. He eyed her cautiously from beneath his thick eyelashes, ghostly white face too close to hers. Like this, he could be happy. "I have you."
Uitleger - The okapi had already suppressed that the problem might be on him, the stag's reaction didn't bring him down this time.
Ravyn - You know I love this group already. The second song would definitely fit him, it reminded me of africa. Thank you. ♥
Spyrre - Happy that I'm capable of creating something like that then. Thank you. ♥
Keepiru - It's not quite as descriptive as I would've preferred, hnn. Although it definitely covers the eerie and intriguing part. Thank you for sharing.
Munkel - Thank you so much.
Ryff - I love that, the gentleness, his inside damage mirroring her outside, how tall you see him. I'm not so sure of his height myself, although I know he's not short at all. I adore pixel drawings as well, and that mixed with soft colors is always magnificent. Thank you. I made you a gift too.

Thanks for the rp. Your character seems quite the obstinate one, though there may be the potential.

A swift, ghostly movement and

A swift, ghostly movement and there he was before her. A part of her that feared the nearness of another made her want to draw back, to turn and run because she was in imaginary danger. She watched him with her angled moss-green eyes, examined his face without moving. Unspeaking. Held captive beneath his amber gaze. A curious, half-tilted head. His face so haunting, so expressive and full of emotion, she just couldn't help but examine each feature. She was slightly on-edge, simply because of the nearness, so she averted her gaze submissively. "Yes...I'm here." She said quietly.

Edited to give you some more to work with and fix the fact that it was a bit short for my liking. :>
