Totally throwing my support behind this project, it's amazing and we as a community don't do enough to thank Auriea and Michaël for what they've given us! I wrote these rules in the other thread, do these still work?


1. By participating, you agree that it may fall on you to buy another pad/book/good-quality-paper-booklet-thing, in case of it running out on your turn. This is to enable everyone the freedom to do what they want, and start any group pages they want, without the fear of space restrictions.

2. If possible, when the book(s) get to you, it would be a good idea to scan/take a photo of any changes made (new pages + additions to group pages) since the last scans/photos. You don't have to do this, as obviously not everyone has the means, but it seems a good idea in case of lossage, and so 'net deer can see too!

3. There will be no time limit on how long you can keep the book, but have consideration for other deer please.

4. While the book(s) is in your possession, stay in contact on the internet as much as possible. This is in case of an emergency of any kind from either side. Basically, it's just sensible.

5. You agree to put your all into passing it on safely and in the condition it came to you in, and you agree not to drop out without a notice of a month. Ideally, don't drop out at all.

6. If you have any doubt at all about any of the above, don't sign up until it's sorted.


Also, do remember that the most important job for a trustworthy administrator in all this is to take in all the addresses, work out where they all are (my thoughts were to put rough-guide dots on a map), and to work out a route so that each person posts the book the shortest distance possible (roughly), so as to cut out back-tracking and unnecessary cost.

Edit: And also, I think the book should be more of a thick art pad rather than a diary thing. Certainly nothing with lines in, and ideally nice art paper. This is because I'm imagining each person would want to do an art in there, as well as contribute to any written pages and leave messages for people.

I keep on having ideas about this, so I may pop in with a few every now and again. And I'm happy to take on minor responsibilities if needed. ^__^

I'd love to help out with this in any way possible! I think it's a great idea, I simply love it.

I'm not sure what you'll need the most, but seriously, any job, just tell me and I'll do it! I would really like to see this happen!

This is a really intriguing idea methinks... I would be happy to lend support though I am not sure if I could contribute, would you accept poetry to go into this kind of thing? I will happily help with some co-ordination if you need a bit of help. I think this is a really good idea although ambitious.

I think having more than one person store the digital copies of the pages would be a good idea, so there's always a backup just in case.

So...do we have to write a story, or could we just draw a picture?

Liëka I totally agree with your entire post, I think that is the best way to do it. People could leave a little note on the journal entry on when it was last scanned/made a digital copy that way when someone receives it who can make a copy can do that.

first @ Lieka: yes, like i wrote, a blank book, that means something like my 'book of passion' the paper in thee is really nice for dawing and for writing

and then for the adresses: that was the job i wanted to do... I've got a nice external, and a even nicer decurety-program from my boyfriend, so that defenetly no one coul put hands on them. also i made up a system in my mind, how the adresses could be collected, without making them public.

and yep the track idea was in my mind, too... ^^

oh and i took your rules like you wrote them into my concept (i wroe it in germen... i am so stupid... i have to translate it... just now i thought about that... hmm.)

This is a great idea, but I don't think i would be able to participate.
I'd really like to be able to take part though, would it be possible to type something on the computer, and then have it printed and stuck in ? So that net-deer could still participate ? [Although now that i type it it seems complicated xD]
